About the site

The site is on a working farm surrounded by the Cumbrian mountains, offering a peaceful escape for those looking to reconnect with nature. Ideally located, you're just ten minutes from the Yorkshire Dales and 20 minutes from the Lake District, with both the M6 and A66 roads nearby. There are two pods onsite, each sleeping two adults and two children. Both are equipped with a full-size double bed, a pull-out sofa bed, plus your own private outdoor seating area overlooking the valley. Each pod also includes outdoor BBQ and cooking equipment, with high-quality meat packs available from the farm. Guests will also receive a welcome pack with tea, coffee, and sometimes fresh eggs from the farm's hens. In a woodland spot just a short distance from the pods is a family-sized hot tub where you can relax under the stars and enjoy the dark skies. For days out, head to the historic towns of Kendal and Sedbergh, both 20 minutes away, offering a mix of shops, cafes, and local eateries. Be sure to also visit Sizergh, just 20 minutes away, a National Trust property with walking trails and a rock garden. Please note, dogs are not permitted onsite. BBQs are welcome using the equipment provided, but open fires are not allowed.

Glamping pods are equipped with an ensuite with a toilet, shower and underfloor heating. You will also have access to an equipped kitchenette featuring a fridge, kettle, Nespresso machine, toaster, microwave and a small induction hob. There are also outdoor BBQ facilities and cooking equipment, with high-quality meat packs and eggs available from the farm.

The site offers photography courses and workshops, from masterclasses on the introduction to photography, to farm based photography tours. A short walk from the pods is a family sized hot tub, shared between the pods. WiFi is also available.

If you fancy a refreshing drink and a bite to eat, Romneys, The Factory Tap, and The Heron are all within a 15 minute drive. For those everyday essentials, head to Morrisons, ten minutes away.

*Minimum two night stays available. Check-in or check out must be on a Monday or a Friday.

Things to do on site and in the Kendal area

Situated between the historic towns of Kendal and Sedbergh, both just 20 minutes away, the site is well placed for exploring the area. Kendal is a vibrant market town with a great mix of independent shops, bars, and a thriving food scene. Sedbergh, known as England's official book town, is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales and is filled with cafés and bookshops.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park is just ten minutes from the site, ideal for scenic hikes, peaceful cycle routes, and soaking up the stunning countryside views. A 20 minute drive will take you to the Lake District, with plenty more opportunities for walking, outdoor adventures, and nature spotting.

History lovers should visit the National Trust's Sizergh (20 minutes), a 14th-century property with walking trails, a rock garden, and scenic surroundings. A 30 minute drive takes you to Brockhole on Windermere, a popular spot for families with zip lines, kayaking, archery, and mini golf. RSPB Leighton Moss, also 30 minutes away, is a peaceful nature reserve perfect for wildlife lovers.

Fell Foot, 35 minutes away, is great for lakeside fun with swimming, boating, and picnicking. Further afield, the National Trust's Wray Castle (45 minutes) offers a family-friendly day out with child-friendly rooms, play areas, and beautiful views of Windermere.
