Pod - Ensuite Glamping PodsMar 2024

Booked this last minute and I would normally have gone camping rather than glamping. The pod was warm and had all we needed. It had much more character than a hotel and it still had the outdoor feel. The kids will miss the sheep watching from outside the bathroom window. There was access to the river for a bit of kayaking and it was great for walks.

Great little pod in heart of the Lake District

Pod - Ensuite Glamping PodsSep 2023

Remote location is nice and peaceful, surrounded by mountains and forest with a small waterfall leading to the river within sight of the pod. Although, this remoteness means it's 4 miles and 20 minutes to nearest supermarket, so plan each trip when you can. Pod is cosy, clean, well equipped with everything you'd need, with a great shower and a good bed. Nice little seating area outside looking over a relatively empty camping field (we went after schools returned). Pod did get hot in the week we were there as it was warm outside too, especially after cooking, it got to 25/26C inside. One small drawback was the fire alarm would go off every time you used the hob, even with windows open, door open and extractor fan on. Anyone under 6ft would struggle to reach to silence it without constantly grabbing a chair. This issue can't really be helped though so can't complain, just a warning to short guests! Being 6'3", the pod was still more than tall enough for me, so tall people don't be put off either! Overall, a very enjoyable stay in the heart of the Lake District!

Absolutely loved it
