About the site
Enjoy a relaxing getaway within easy reach of some of the Peak District's most popular attractions. The charming market town of Bakewell is just a ten minute drive away, with Chatsworth House, Haddon House, Matlock and Buxton all within a 20 minute drive too. There are a total of 60 non electric grass pitches onsite, suitable for tents, trailer tents, roof boxes, caravans, campervans and motorhomes. Each allows up to six guests, with a set family field that also includes rope swings and areas to play for little ones. Caravans, campervans and motorhomes also have the option of a non electric gravel and hardstanding pitch. There are just seven onsite. Through the camping field, guests can also gain direct access to Lathkill Dale. The reserve is home to wonderful walking routes and a river with a waterfall! Canine companions can join you for your stay, too, with up to three pups permitted per pitch. For evenings onsite, there are fire pits to hire along with wood to purchase. Guests can also bring along their own BBQ and enjoy a spot of cooking in the outdoors, or why not enjoy a freshly cooked pizza from the woodfired pizza oven, open seasonally on a Friday and Saturday evening.
