About the site


A family friendly base situated in the heart of the Peak District National Park with incredible countryside views over Bradwell Edge. The site is an ideal spot for walkers, hikers, and cyclists, with the Miller's Dale Monsal Trail just a ten minute drive away. You'll also be within a five minute drive of Bradwell and just 20 minutes from the historic town of Buxton! Choose from spacious non electric grass pitches measuring 6.4m x 6.4m, ideal for tents and trailer tents only. There are also non-electric pitches specifically for campervans, offering a peaceful off-grid stay. There are also fully equipped 5m bell tents with a double bed. Please bring bedding. Please note, the site does not have any shower facilities. If you fancy a tasty home cooked meal, the Blind Bull is just a five minute walk from the site, perfect after a day exploring. Days out can be spent discovering the ruins of Peveril Castle, a popular historical site just ten minutes away, or bring the whole family along to Graves Park (30 minutes), with its woodlands, lakes, animal farm, and two playgrounds! The vibrant city of Sheffield is also within reach, just a 40 minute drive. Dogs are welcome onsite! BBQs and campfires are permitted, provided they are raised off the ground.

Please note, this site does not have any shower facilities. Onsite facilities include a toilet block with sinks, drinking water and a washing up area with two pot washing sinks.

A five minute walk will take you to the Blind Bull, serving a range of hot meals and cold drinks. If you need to pick up any camping essentials, head over to Co-op Food, a short five minute drive away.

Stunning views and peaceful surroundings can be found around our campsite. Our facilities are basic, but we have everything you should need for a few nights to enjoy our wonderful location!

Things to do on site and in the Buxton area

Being situated in the Peak District National Park, you are well placed to explore a variety of walking, cycling, and hiking routes, including the Miller's Dale Monsal Trail, a short ten minute drive away. The Peak District offers incredible landscapes, rolling hills, and nature-filled viewpoints too!

History lovers can visit Peveril Castle (10 minutes), built in 1176, or head to Haddon Hall (20 minutes), a historic Tudor manor with Elizabethan gardens. Also 20 minutes away, the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton offer several formal gardens, a botanical conservatory, and often host pop up events.

For a more immersive experience, Poole's Cavern (25 minutes) offers guided tours of dramatic underground caves, plus woodland trails and picnic spots.

Families will love Graves Park (30 minutes), featuring two playgrounds, lakes, woodlands, a farm, sports grounds, and a cafe. Sheffield Botanical Gardens (30 minutes) are also worth a visit, with floral displays from across the globe.
