Located near Barnstaple in the North Devon countryside, Brightlycott Barton is a hidden gem that offers a peaceful camping experience. This stunning four acre south-facing caravan and camping site boasts panoramic views, providing guests with the perfect backdrop for a relaxing holiday. Located just 30 minutes from the nearest beach and a half-hour drive from the Exmoor National Park, Brightlycott Barton is the ideal base for exploring the best of North Devon. The campsite is part of an all-grass organic sheep farm, with 23 spacious grass pitches available for guests to choose from and welcomes tents, trailer tents, campervans, motorhomes and caravans. There are 23 level pitches with electric hook ups (16 amp) and a grass area for tents only, ensuring that all guests have a comfortable and convenient stay. Brightlycott Barton is a dog-friendly campsite, so you can bring your furry friends along to enjoy the beautiful surroundings with you. With stunning views, spacious pitches, and a warm welcome from the friendly owners, enjoy a peaceful holiday in the heart of North Devon.

Site facilities include an amenity block with six showers, washing up facilities, and a wheelchair-friendly disabled room with shower, toilet and wash basin. You'll also find a free-to-use washing machine, fridge/freezer, and coin-operated tumble dryer within the block. There is an indoor table tennis room, and outside, there is a set of swings for younger children.
Barnstaple is a ten minute drive from the site, with a market and shops. The local pub, The New Inn, is also just a 10 minute drive from the site.

A nice campsite quite relaxing for a few days away. Really nice view to wake up to. Weather unfortunately wasn't on our side though. Not much nearby that we could find, but relaxing nonetheless.

Charles is a lovely host, the site is clean and quiet and the view and stars at night are amazing. It is nice and peaceful with basic amenities but everything you need and near town if needed. Been a few times, will return next year. Highly recommend this little gem.

There's no shortage of things to do nearby. Discover the charming town of Barnstaple, just 10 minutes away. With a rich history dating back to the Saxons, Barnstaple has been the main market for North Devon for centuries, providing visitors with a unique experience. Explore the historic Pannier Market, where you can bag local produce, crafts, art, and antiques.
Explore the North Devon coastline and discover the breathtaking sandy beaches that stretch along the northern coast. It's just 20 - 30 minutes to the local beaches of Woolacombe, Croyde, and Saunton.
Exmoor National Park is also around 30 minutes away for great days out exploring. Its fantastic setting offers endless opportunities to cycle, walk, and discover stunning scenery.
