Nestled under the shade of ancient oak trees, Barhams Woodland Camping offers a woodland escape, ten minutes from Dartmoor National Park. Guests can enjoy a relaxing stay with private forest floor pitches, each with an individual firepit for toasting marshmallows. Tents and campervans are both welcome, with parking for one car for each pitch. The Devon coastline is also only 25 minutes away with many picturesque seaside locations to explore!

About Barhams Woodland Camping
Get back to nature and be awoken by restful birdsong. This peaceful, almost-wild campsite covers almost 16 acres of Devonshire woodland, within easy reach of the magnificent Dartmoor National Park. All the pitches are tucked away in their own part of the woodland on the forest floor, each with a complimentary fire pit for toasting marshmallows or cosying around the campfire. There are a total of 13 pitches suitable for tents, five 6m x 6m (four person), and eight 6m x 8m (six person) that also allow for multiple tents. If you are coming with your campervan, you are also catered for with three 4.5m x 7.5m pitches, suitable for up to four people. Each with access to eco facilities in the heart of woodland. With a laid back vibe, this is the ideal place to kick back, unwind and soak up the fresh air whilst spotting the visiting wildlife. For cooking up a delicious dinner, be sure to bring along your BBQ, just please ensure it is raised from the ground. Due to the woodland, there is no vehicle access to tent pitches, but each pitch does have it's own allocated space in the car park, only one vehicle is allowed per pitch. Dogs can join you for your stay too, with up to two allowed per pitch. There is no electricity on site.
Barhams Woodland Camping is open from 24/05 to 05/06 and 13/06 to 26/10.
The site has four compost loos, two showers, a pot wash station, and a drinking water point. All pitches also come with their own designated firepit area and fire pit ready for use.
For a pub, The Union Inn is a five minute drive or a 20 minute walk away. If you need to pick up the essentials, there is a Co-op and One Stop ten minutes away.

The most beautiful little hidden gem in beautiful rolling hills. Each pitch is nice and private and nestled away, making it feel as close to wild camping as possible. Fire pits were an absolute winner too and the location is prime for everything you need including shops, entertainment and activities and pubs and restaurants. The owners are absolutely delightful and the booking process and communication from them was outstanding. I highly, highly recommend Barhams Woodland Camping! We will be back without a doubt!

We were amazed when we turned up. Easy to park, signs to our pitch, lovely private area, nice friendly people. Amazing views, fire pit area was lovely. Lots of space. Toilets and showers were kept clean. We will definitely be back again. Couldn't fault it. Really nice owners, you've done a great job. We will be letting all our friends and work colleges know about your beautiful campsite. All the best to you in the future and thank you.

Lovely people, lovely little site, very clean. The location was great, the owner has ideas for expanding, we gave ideas for groups such as scouts and letter boxing type of games for the kids. As it is, we just can't recommend enough. Thoroughly lovely, will definitely go again and again.

Being only a ten minute drive from Dartmoor National Park, this is a popular location with keen walkers. Pack a picnic and spend a day exploring and spotting the majestic Dartmoor ponies.
If you want to see the wonderful landscapes in style, why not take a ride on the South Devon Railway, hopping on at Staverton Station (20 minutes). The vintage steam train guides you through the glorious countryside, passing through charming villages on the way.
