Sprinter-Type Campervan - Lower Meadow Non Electric Grass PitchesApr 2022

Really enjoyed our stay. Facilities clean and well looked after, staff friendly and helpful, pizza looked good. Easy walk to the local village and couple of pubs. About a 35 minute walk to Hive beach and great food at the Hive beach cafe. We also walked to West Bay, just over an hour, but worth it. The park has a good enclosed dog walking field and also has a lovely nature wood. I would stay here again.

FAQ

Check-in is from 1pm-8pm. Pitches must be vacated by 11am on day of departure.

Yes, up to two dogs are welcome per camping pitch, provided they are kept on leads whilst on the park and are not a breed/crossbreed listed under the Dangerous Dogs Act. There is an enclosed dog exercise area on the park too.

BBQs are welcome provided they are kept raised off the ground, so as not to damage the grass - campfires are not permitted.

Yes, a map overview of the park can be viewed here.

Hive Beach, owned by National Trust, is just a one mile walk from the park with a glorious cliffside backdrop looking out towards the spectacular Jurassic Coast as well as an award winning cafe and a bar set on the clifftops. A short drive will take you to West Bay, the fishing village used for ITV's popular 'Broadchurch' drama series, with plenty of waymarked cycling and walking trails along the coastline. You're also within easy reach of: *Vurlands Animal Farm (3.4 miles), family run farm with daily pig racing, animal feeding, kids play area and tearooms. *Little Bredy Waterfall and Walled Gardens (6.8 miles), set in the heart of the Bride Valley. *Abbotsbury Subtropical Gardens (7.2 miles), home to an abundance of flora and fauna where kids can also try finding the Cheshire Cat, white rabbit, and Alice herself within the Wonderland Sculpture Trail.

Once a tightly knit community of farmers, fishermen, net makers and flax spinners, the village of Burton Bradstock has retained much of its character and offers a glimpse into a bygone age. Catch the X53 bus from the village to get to Bridport and West Bay or along the Coast Road to Abbotsbury, Weymouth and beyond.

Also within walking distance is Hive Beach, one of the main gateways to the Jurassic Coast and the South West Coast Path. This National Trust estate and popular family destination has spectacular coastal views and is part of the well-known Chesil Beach, one of the most spectacular features of the Jurassic Coast.

Popular places to visit nearby include Little Bredy waterfall, Abbotsbury Swannery and Sub Tropical Gardens, St Catherines Chapel, Hardy's Monument, Vurlands Animal Farm, Mapperton House and Gardens, The West Bay Discovery Centre and attractions in Weymouth including Sandworld, the Sea Life Centre and Portland Bill Lighthouse.
