Located in the Wye Valley at Clifford along the south banks of the River Wye, Locksters Pool Camping is set on a peaceful working farm ten minutes from the Brecon Beacons. Spacious grass pitches cater for tents and small campervans and are located in various areas of the 100-acre farm. Bell tents and a Railway wagon are also available for adult-only couples. Canoe/stand-up paddleboarding launching access to the river is free to guests!

About Locksters Pool Camping
The camping areas on this quiet working farm are situated on riverside meadows with direct access to the River Wye. You can also pitch your tent or 4x4 at an elevated area overlooking the river with, stunning views for miles. This area is only accessible by 4x4 or a short walk up a farm track. There are a total of 42 pitches, suitable for tents and a limited number of small campervans. A maximum of six people are allowed per pitch. Dragonfly walk is a camping and glamping area with three bell tents and a couple of camping pitches, for adult couples only. Bell tents are each complete with a double bed luxury bedding bedside tables and views overlooking the river. each bell tent has its own toilet and small fully equipped separate kitchen. Groups are also welcome for the sole use of one of the camping areas, but please enquire as there will be additional charges. Canoe and paddle board launching and access onto the river is free for campers. Full English breakfast is also available in the marque, the perfect way to start the day. The site is happy to dispose of recycling and waste as long as it is separated. Sorry, no dogs are allowed here due to livestock.
Locksters Pool Camping is open from 05/05 to 14/09.
Toilets and coin-operated showers are provided and serviced regularly, real campfires are permitted with wood purchased on site.
There are a couple of eateries within a ten minute drive The Boat Inn which is a traditional pub and The Castlefields, lovely for a sit down meal. For basic food shops, there's a Co-op and a Spar also within a ten minute drive.

Grass pitches measuring 6m x 8m without electric, suitable for tents and small campervans. A fire pit is provided for each pitch. There is a parking area in the same field for cars only.

This pitch is closer to the river in the area named Dragonfly Walk, for couples only. Measuring 8m x 8m for tents only without electric. No vehicle access.

It was an absolute pleasure to meet the owners and stay on their working farm. They were so accommodating, very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The location of the site, right beside the river, was a dream and our family loved going out on the kayak. Thank you for a warm welcome and a lovely stay. See you again.

Booked here last minute, it’s in a lovely quiet location by the river, with some lovely walks. Yvonne and Richard are genuinely lovely people and very accommodating! I would love to stay here again on our next road trip!

The River Wye that runs along side the campsite is ideal for paddle boarding and canoeing wild swimming and other water activities, the site have a launching area on the campsite which provides easy access in and out of the river, this is free to guests.
