About Glen Nevis Caravan and Camping Park

Set on a Highland estate with access to over 1,000 acres, including scenic woodland and roaming Highland cattle. Enjoy breathtaking scenery with stunning views over stunning Ben Nevis and the surrounding mountains. You can explore Glen Nevis right from the site with many footpaths through the forest and along the River Nevis! For tent campers, there are a range of grass pitches, varying from smaller backpacker pitches for those without a car, to designated numbered pitches with 16 amp electric hook ups. Pitches allow up to seven guests, with plenty of space to spread out. Trailer tents, campervans, caravans, motorhomes and RVs are also welcome, with a selection of hardstanding gravelled pitches to choose from. Choose between non electric, electric and fully serviced pitches with an electric hook up, water supply and drainage. If glamping is more your style, opt for one of the cosy pods. Sleeping two or three, the smaller pods come with either two singles or a double and the larger have three singles or a single and a double. Note you will need to bring your own bedding and towels. All pods have underfloor heating and double glazed windows to keep you nice and toasty even in the winter months. Each comes with electric and their own drying cupboard, plus a small kitchen area with a sink with cold water, an electric kettle and a fridge. The site also offers a generous range of top self catering accommodation, including luxury lodges, cottages and more. Purchase fishing permits from the onsite shop at reception and enjoy access to fish in the River Nevis. Up to two dogs per pitch are welcome and there are also dedicated walking areas for them to stretch their legs. Small fire pits and BBQs are allowed but must be away from other campers. Do note, if there is a high fire risk warning in the area they are not allowed.

Glen Nevis Caravan and Camping Park is open from 08/03 to 04/11.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Really nice campsite and a beautiful location. We arrived around 5pm, there was no one to book us in and no information pack left. The facilities require a little updating but staff in the bar/restaurant were very friendly.

Motorhome - Electric Hardstanding PitchesOct 2024

Love this place so much we have extended our stay. The staff are amazing, friendly and very helpful. Will definitely be returning in the summer. The facilities are clean and the water is gorgeously hot in the showers. The washing machines and dryers are quite cheap to use compared to some places. Definitely worth the star ratings.

The walking and cycling close to Glen Nevis is second to none, with tracks available right by your doorstep. The spectacular and popular route up Ben Nevis is a short walk away, so this is an ideal base for the challenge. If you'd like to roam further, the West Highland Way passes through Glen Nevis following 95 miles of track from Glasgow.

As you'd expect, this is a haven for wildlife and one of few places in the UK where you can see red squirrels. Other tempting wildlife in the area include otters, pine martens and majestic golden eagles. Those looking to fish in lovely scenery will find fishing areas by the River Nevis.

If you're a movie buff, you'll love exploring the spaces where your favourite movies were made. You can see where Harry Potter played quidditch, scout out scenes from the Braveheart film and there are also familiar views from the Highlander movie.
