Bath campsites
Bath's Roman heritage and superb Georgian architecture make it a must-see spot in the South West. A city lined with historic buildings paired with a chance to watch the steam rising from heated public baths, is not to be missed. Take a moment to get under the skin of Jane Austen, a Bath local, who has a dedicated visitors centre there and then lose yourself in a fancy cream tea. Bath campsites can bring the beauty of Somerset right to you.

Things to do in Bath
The attractive city of Bath is no unsung hero, having been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the top destinations in Somerset. But the city can live up the hyper, and no visitor should leave without exploring the city's famous Roman Baths. Fed by natural springs, these baths are now an indulgent spa experience, so lie back and relax.
Culture seekers will find No. 1 Royal Crescent unmistakeable, an iconic half circle of period houses that stand proudly regal beside the Botanical Gardens. After strolling the crescent, a trip to the Fashion Museum brings alive the clothes of other eras and the Herschel Museum of Astronomy is nearby.
An obligatory next move is to browse the the Jane Austen Centre for clues about the famous author and then devour one of Sally Lunns’ Bath Buns over a novel.
Bath's superb architecture will also wow visitors, with particularly fine examples such as Bath’s Victorian Gothic Abbey. Follow that up with Pulteney Bridge, a Georgian beauty from 1774 speckled with little shops and the Grade 1 listed buildings of Bath Street.
When it comes to relaxation in beautiful surroundings, Bath's lovely gardens and parks know how to deliver. The Royal Victoria Park with its pretty Botanical Gardens, the 18th century Prior Park Landscape Gardens, Alexandra Park with its great views over the city, as well as the picturesque Parade Gardens all offer lovely settings for strolling or simply sitting and taking in the landscape.
Bath has enough cafes and restaurants to ruin any diet and these provide plenty of tempting refreshments. In particular, don’t miss Society Café for artisan sweet treats. This is also the ideal opportunity to indulge in the time-honoured tradition of taking afternoon tea, with lashings of clotted cream.
Venturing out beyond the city, sightseers can explore grand Dyrham Park’ baroque country house, Stourhead in Wiltshire or Westonbirt, the National Arboretum which offers 17 miles of trails and guided walks among trees from around the world.
