About The Macs Farm

Family friendly camping at its finest, this site is set on a working farm with lots to do onsite and a great location for days out, including the South Down's National Park and Brighton. Open during the summer only, this site offers weekend camping and midweek camping during school holidays. There are four camping fields to choose from and each pitch caters for up to six people. The Barn Owl Field is perfect for families with mown pitches surrounded by wild grass and flowers. Pitches have shared facilities nearby, individual fire pits and use of the Pole Barn. The Little Owl Field is a big open space surrounded by trees, it is perfect for groups of families and friends wanting to camp next to each other. There are shared facilities nearby and campers have use of the Old Chook Shed. Fire pits are spread around the field for groups to gather around. The Tawny Owl Field is specifically designed for groups with just five spacious pitches, each holding up to 24 people and six tents. Each pitch has a communal fire pit in the middle and campers have access to the Pole Barn and shared facilities nearby. Finally, the Nest Box Field is the closest to the hub of the campsite perfect for groups of families and friends wanting to be near the action! The field has its own facilities and there are fire pits spread around the field. The site is in South Down's National Park, close to the Devil's Dyke for family walks, or Brighton for a trip to the seaside, and the quaint town of Lewes for a day out. Guests may also hire a bell tent for their pitch to save the hassle of bringing all of the camping gear! The site is car free, so you can park up and put all your belongings in a wheelbarrow to take to your pitch. Each pitch has access to a fire pit with wood, kindling, matches and firelighters. Guests may also have a BBQ as long as it is raised from the ground or put in a fire pit. The site welcomes well behaved dogs, due to the nearby livestock dogs must be kept under control at all times.

The site is open for weekends only from the 19th May until the 20th August. However, during the May half term and summer holidays the site will be open for midweek camping.
