A note from the site themselves...

As soon as we set eyes on Pentre Bach in 1998, we made the big decision to move from London with our young children. Starting out as a run-down small holding, we could see the potential for a fantastic outdoor business for others to fall in love with, just like we did.

We converted the barn into an Alpine-style bunkhouse in 2001 and have never looked back. Some ten years later, we offered camping. The whole site is very popular with outdoor folk, families looking for a cheap base to explore, stag and youth groups etc. Also, many return year on year, which is lovely and have become friends. We want people to have a good time and are always on hand for a chat or advice.

We are keen gardeners, which you will see when you stay. Certain areas are left wild for the wildlife, which you will see on driving up the track. You can hear the crickets and see the bees, butterflies and birds. We never tire of the view as every day the mountains take on a different look. You will often see us sitting out front with a glass of something or a panad (cuppa), just chilling and admiring the mountains.
