Riverside Camping is set beside the River Seiont, with tempting tent camping spots by the water and a set of deluxe hardstandings for tourers. Winner of the prestigious Visit Wales Gold Award, it's a short drive from the coast and Caernarfon and only 15 minutes from the edge of the fabulous Snowdonia National Park. Soak up the peaceful setting, play a round on the sports courts and then refuel those calories in the delicious Mill bistro.
Award winning Riverside has a top selection of pitches and attracts returning campers year after year. You'll have a choice of back to basics pitches without electric, or the convenience of a hook-up. Camping beside the bubbling River Seiont is also possible, or families can pitch up right by the playground - giving them a chance to keep a watchful eye on little monkeys while they play. If you're bringing a caravan or motorhome, you might try an electric hardstanding pitch. Even better are the deluxe pitches which are set in a secluded area with attractively landscaped lawns and serviced with water, electric and TV points. Alternatively, the whole family can enjoy a glam stay in the cabans, with access to a delicious private hot tub, self contained facilities (including a bath!) and space to sleep up to five adults or six with children in great comfort. You'll love the wood burning stove, outdoor BBQ and a chance to get away from the daily grind with a totally off grid experience. Dogs are welcome to join you on your pitch and in two of the four log cabans.
Open from 14 March to 31 October

Turn your attention to Snowdonia's incredible mountains for some of the best walking, hiking and climbing you'll ever experience.
Caernarfon Castle is an unmissable chance to discover Welsh history and from its top walk you can spot a great little ice cream parlour across the road. In the harbour you can try your luck fishing for crabs and then there are many great spots for a lazy lunch.
Snowdonia's mountain railway is the perfect way to chug through the scenery in style from Llanberis and you'll have just as much fun on the West Highland Railway, which takes another intriguing route from Caernarfon.
