An expansive and well laid out site, Talymignedd is surrounded by great scenery and offers campers a warm welcome. It's a great stopping point for walkers along the historic Snowdonia Slate Trail. You can see both the beauty of Snowdonia and the well known Nantlle Ridge from this base. The farm is surrounded by peaceful mountains of three sides and is a haven for wildlife and chirping birds. Rest up on level grass pitches which offer electric for both tents and tourers, or a chance to get totally back to nature without a hook-up. Duke of Edinburgh groups are welcome. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead.

Whether it's coast or country you prefer, a modest drive will take you to the seaside or to Snowdonia's many attractions. For those up for a challenge, a walk up Snowdon will be immensely rewarding and the site is well placed for the quietest and least touristy track to this legendary peak.
Hiking and rock climbing is very popular around Rhyd Ddu and a circular walk taking in the spectacular Nantlle Ridge is a must for keen walkers.
