Nestled in the South Wales countryside on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, Caecrwn Retreat is the ideal spot for a peaceful getaway. The site offers just five spacious non electric grass pitches for tents, or if glamping is more your thing, stay in a cosy bell tent, each fully equipped with a wood burner, beds, bunting and more! Take in stunning countryside views as far as Pen y Fan or drive ten minutes to Brecon and enjoy lovely nature walks.

About Caecrwn Retreat

This small camping and glamping site is perfect for nature lovers and walkers who are looking for a sense of adventure, with the Brecon Beacons just ten minutes away. There are plenty of stunning walking routes nearby for all abilities, but you can also just enjoy the stunning views from your pitch if you'd rather. The site boasts just five non electric grass tent pitches on a spacious field. Each measures a spacious 12m x 12m and allows up to six guests, with plenty of space for setting up your table and chairs. If you want to save the hassle of pitching a tent, opt to stay in a cosy bell tent. There is a 5m bell tent equipped with a double bed and a single bed and a 6m bell tent finished with a double bed and two singles. For the use of everyone onsite, there is a communal kitchen with a covered area. This includes a gas stove, BBQ, picnic table, cutlery and crockery. Perfect for those wanting to do some al fresco cooking. Sorry, this site is dog free. Raised BBQs are welcome onsite. Sorry, campfires are not allowed.

Facilities and amenities

Onsite facilities include portable toilets, showers and washing up. A communal covered kitchen for campers and glampers includes a BBQ, cooker, picnic table and outdoor furniture.

Brecon is also a ten minute drive away, with plenty of pubs and restaurants, as well as a large selection of supermarkets.

There is plenty on offer nearby, being on the edge of the Brecon Beacons there are several hiking routes to choose from. Pen y Fan trails is just 20 minutes from the site and is great for hiking enthusiasts, you can be sure to enjoy spectacular views if you reach the top!

If you want something a little bit more chilled, the National Showcaves Centre for Wales is just 30 minutes away. Explore three historic caves or visit the dinosaur park, which is great for the kids.

The Llangorse Multi Activity Centre is a 25 minute drive away, offering the chance to try something new. Whether it's horse riding, climbing, a zip wire or high ropes, there is something for everyone.
