Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2026

Positives. Clear maps to know where to go, some activities on offer, dog agility park was good. Market was brilliant - once we knew it was there, if was a shame to hear it is being stopped and the park expanded! Negatives. Very poorly kept toilets and showers for the touring area - dirty, unkempt, water pressure too hard or too hot, so unable to even wash your hands properly. On the opposite, the Elsan point shower head had no pressure and was practically unusable! Swimming pool rule means no single parents or multiple children (especially twins etc!) can swim as 1 adult needed for everyone under 4 - this was not shown anywhere obvious, therefore we were let down. Poor information all round of where to go, how to book activities, the fact the market was on. A lot of work to do to improve fairness for new holidaymakers in booking holidays, pool accessibility, opening/closure of outdoor pools. Outdoor Lido not open most of the week and due to swimming pool rule - this meant we were unable to use these facilities (one of the main reasons we booked). Another reason we booked was dog facilities - the "dog washing" area was not usable, did not work and was directly in the pub garden . Electricity cut out twice in the Pavilion theatre, two nights in a row so we did not use again. No recycling points seen. Electric scooter/bike rules needed (i.e. not in parks!). Overall, a very average stay - we luckily made the most of it by going off site a couple of days!

Single Axle Caravan - Electric Grass Touring Pitches Aug 2026

The pitches are very narrow. The site worker who showed people to the pitches didn't site people correctly and the pitches are not marked out. This resulted in the awning from the adjacent caravan virtually touching our caravan. People extended beyond their actual pitch. The toilets were disgusting. They were not cleaned on a regular basis. Most of the time no toilet paper. The toilet paper dispenser was on the floor for over 48 hours and not touched. The facilities for the children and evening entertainment were very good. The number of electric bikes and scooters being ridden by children was beyond belief. At high speed and no consideration for other people or traffic.

A note from the site themselves...

We're proud to be part of the Unity Holidays group, bringing together some of the UK's best-loved holiday parks under one name. Our story began with what was formerly known as Holiday Resort Unity in Somerset, and since then, the group has continued to grow. Today, Unity Holidays includes three holiday parks (including us!).

Between us, the Unity Holidays team has more than 300 years of experience in running holiday parks, so we've had plenty of time to learn what goes into making a great break. We're passionate about the traditional British seaside holiday, with comfortable places to stay, good food, entertainment, and beautiful locations.

We also want to create the kind of holidays that stay with you long after you've gone home. The sort of breaks that bring back happy memories and give families the chance to enjoy time together, just as many of us remember doing when we were younger. We hope you enjoy your stay and make some special memories of your own.
