Staying onsite, you are well placed to explore York, a 40 minute drive away, or a kid friendly favourite, Flamingo Land Resort, a 20 minute drive from the site.

About the site

This quiet and secluded site is ideal for those wanting to escape the everyday hustle and camp with an added touch of luxury. Here, you are surrounded by several walking hot spots, including the North York Moors National Park, within a 20 minute drive, and it is an ideal spot for soaking up the views. There are three camping pods, sleeping up to four, all equipped with a bunk bed and a single bed with an extra mattress for two. You will also find a few amenities, including a fridge, an electric heater, and a kettle. WiFi is also available throughout the site. For dinner alfresco, there is a large communal BBQ and it is great for toasting marshmallows and relaxing around. York is a 40 minute drive from the site, and if you fancy a beach day, head to Scarborough, Whitby, or Robin Hood Bay, all a 50 minute drive away. BBQs and fires are permitted, please ensure they are raised off the ground. Sorry, no dogs.

Things to do on site and in the Helmsley area

History lovers should visit Pickering Castle, a 13th century castle with towers, art, and scenic views, a short 20 minute drive away. Or, if you fancy a longer drive, Museum Gardens is a popular must-see, a 50 minute drive away.

Kids will love a visit to Flamingo Land Resort, a theme park with a variety of rollercoasters for all different ages, just 20 minutes away.

If you fancy an adventure packed day or some challenges, take a trip to the North York Moors National Park (20 minutes), a great spot for walking, cycling, and soaking up the scenic views.

The site is a 40 minute drive from York, with top attractions including York Castle Museum, York City Walls, Clifford's Tower, and The York Dungeon.

Scarborough Beach is also 50 minute drive!
