Northcote Pods are located in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales National Park just 20 minutes north of Skipton. The site has only two glamping pods onsite, both with comfortable beds, idyllic views and a luxury finish. The Pheasant pod even has it's own wood fired hot tub!

About Northcote Pods
This small glamping site is the ideal way to escape to the countryside in your own little bubble of luxury. The site is situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is the ideal place to stay if you want to explore the great outdoors. The site has only two pods, Partridge Pod and Pheasant Pod. The pods both sleep two adults on a comfortable double memory foam mattress bed and there is a sofa bed for two extra children. Inside is a hanging rail for clothes and a modern ensuite shower room which contains a sink, toilet, shaver sockets and heated towel rail. The chic fitted kitchens have everything you need including a sink, mini fridge, microwave, two ring induction hob, toaster, kettle and a dining table to seat four. Both pods have outdoor spaces with seating and a BBQ which make them ideal for al fresco dinning, the perfect way to take in the wonderful views across Upper Wharfedale. The Pheasant pod also has the added extra of a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and a private wood fired hot tub! Sorry, the Partridge Pod does not have a hot tub. Keep cosy, even in winter, with the electric heated radiator. Sit back and relax on the large, comfortable L-shaped sofa and watch the Smart TV, complete with Netflix. Connect to the fast WiFi or play your music via the integrated Bluetooth speakers. The site is ideal for walkers and hikers alike as it is surrounded by walking paths, valleys and waterfalls. Firepits and BBQs are welcome in the ones provided. Dogs are not allowed as the site is next to two working farms, sorry.
Northcote Pods is open all year round.
Both of the pods have their own ensuite toilet and shower facilities. The Pheasant Pod has it's own hot tub.
The nearest food shop is a Spar just five minutes away. There is also a local pub, The Tennants Arms, within a 10 minute walk.

We really enjoyed our stay at this pod. It was very clean and well-presented with milk, tea and coffee all waiting for us. We were also left two chocolate hearts for Valentine's!! The hot tub is a great addition. Just a word of warning about the first time you warm it up, as the water is fresh and therefore cold, it took a long...long time to get up to temperature. I struggled to get the wood burning well the first night, which probably didn't help. But start the process early. The second night it was much quicker as the tub retained most of the heat through the day. Don't be put off by that though, it was fantastic to enjoy the tub in the open air...a real treat.

Everything was lovely, as advertised and expected, with the exception of no hair dryer (but we did enquire about this beforehand). Highly recommended, definitely would return.

No music outside after 9pm. Nothing other than toilet paper/ flushable wipes to be flushed down the loo
Please stay within the boundary area of the pods, private areas have free range kids! Please keep off the drystone walls. Please vacate the property promptly at 10am as the cleaner arrives for then. Parking for one vehicle at the pod only. Do not leave dirty pots for our cleaner please ensure this is done before checking out. When you book for 2 adults I'll assume that you're not in need of using the sofa bed so please message me if you require it.
Things to do on site and in the Skipton area
The main draw of this location are the surroundings. Enjoy dark starry nights and days of picturesque country walks through the hills and past waterfalls. Find both Cray Gill Waterfall and Middle Falls just 15 minutes from site, and for a more dramatic falls head to Aysgarth Falls 35 minutes away.
Kinsley Park is only a ten minute walk from site where you can enjoy fishing, meeting farm animals and red squirrels before treating yourself to a unique pink fish and chips.
Stump Cross Caverns (20 minutes) are a great place to visit especially if the weather isn't so good outdoors. Explore the twist and turns of the caverns, book a fossil and gem dig with a 'cavewoman' or sit back and enjoy a film at the private 40 seat cinema with at-seat food service.
For a fun family day out head to The Forbidden Corner (40 minutes) and enjoy a labyrinth of tunnels, chambers and surprises. Enjoy walking around the gardens after and grab a bite to eat at the café.
