Ravensdale Glamping Retreats boasts three cosy pods with their own hot tub, BBQ and fire pits set beside a pond in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside. The whole family is welcome, dogs included. A great location in close distance to York, Castle Howard and Harrogate. Also available for exclusive hire for larger families or groups. Minimum stay is just two to three nights, depending on the season.

About Ravensdale Glamping Retreats
Set on the grounds of an old dairy farm the pods are placed in opposite corners of the site, giving each privacy as they overlook the pond. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Yorkshire countryside just a 20 minute journey to York. Should you wish to head out and explore catch the bus that runs directly past the site. The pods all have spacious interiors, Glencroft and Chaplins Club both feature two rooms, a bedroom with an ensuite and a kitchen/lounge area and Bowcliffe has one large living area with double bed, sofa bed, kitchen and living/dining area as well as ensuite bathroom. They all sleep four, with the sofa bed ideal for two children but can accommodate adults too. The kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, fridge, two-ringed hob, toaster, kettle and all utensils and cutlery you will need for your stay. Glass doors lead to a large private decking area with seating, a BBQ/fire pit, and the added benefit of a private hot tub. The first basket of logs will be supplied too! Each pod has been furnished to a high standard. With underfloor heating and mod cons such as TV, LED lights and USB sockets. Plus Chaplins Club and Glencroft pods have Bluetooth speakers and an additional TV in the bedroom. You can be sure to receive a warm welcome to get your stay off to a great start as a welcome basket awaits on arrival. For larger families or group getaways hire all of the pods for the exclusive use of the site. If you are celebrating a special occasion during your stay, you can add the special occasion package on to your booking and enjoy cake, fizz and decorations! Dogs are more than welcome onsite with a max of two in any of the pods.

Both pods have ensuite bathrooms with a shower, toilet, washbasin and heated towel rails.
Within a five minute drive are two nearby villages, Stillington and Huby, both have great pubs and Cantonese and Indian restaurants which are available for takeaways too. For your essentials head slightly further afield to Easingwold, a ten minute drive, where there is a Co-operative Food, bakeries and even more pubs and restaurants.

Bowcliffe Pod with Hot Tub

Open plan pod with spacious living area, equipped kitchen with all utensils, microwave, hob, fridge. Dining table and four chairs, double bed, sofa settee and TV. Ensuite shower room. Outside is a seating area with a BBQ, fire pit and hot tub.

I booked a surprise weekend away for my girlfriend at the Ravensdale site and we both enjoyed the entire weekend. The pod was fantastic with everything we needed and more. It gave a very homely vibe, which we loved, and would recommend to everyone.

Beautiful pod with all the facilities anyone could need. It is a great setting, so nice we didn't actually leave! Lots of lovely touches including BBQ, fire pit, and a welcome basket. Really comfortable and felt very luxurious. We stayed as a couple and a young baby, it might feel a little small for 4 adults though. We loved it and can't wait to book again.

What a great find. We really enjoyed our weekend. Pod was well equipped and ever so clean and our pup really enjoyed himself with lots of walking, local pubs (The mended Drum was very welcoming and the food was fantastic) we would defo return and highly recommend this place to friends. Thank you so much xx

Things to do on site and in the York area
There are many lovely walking routes in the area, specifically around the village of Huby. Take in the surrounding countryside and views before heading into the village to one of the many local cafes and explore the shops. Or head further afield and adventure through the North York Moors.
The city of York is just a 20 minute drive away and is a great day out, with something for everyone. Wander along the York City Walls before learning all about Yorks history at the York Castle Museum or visit the reconstructed Viking village, JORVIK Viking Centre.
