About the site
Set on a site of almost two acres, the shepherd's hut shares its seclusion with the vineyard shed, home to Mowbarton's tractor and other wine-growing equipment - as there is a small vineyard just up the lane. Why not try the produce to make sure it's good quality? There is plenty of wildlife around the site and the most glorious views, both from the hut terrace and from a sheltered picnic area recently created in the meadow above. The hut has its own secluded terrace which looks down over the Somerset Levels all the way over to the Bristol Channel. It really is a piece of heaven for you to retreat to, and forget all about the stress of daily life. The hut is fully double-glazed and insulated, and stays wonderfully warm thanks to a super-efficient little log-burning stove. The stylish little kitchen area contains a two-ringed hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, sink and small fridge, a flushing toilet, hand basin and modern shower cubicle. Inside the hut there's seating and a table for four which cunningly converts into a very comfortable, cosy double bed. Sitting out on the terrace enjoying the sunset over the Somerset Levels is a firm favourite with guests. A barbecue, outdoor heating, outdoor dining table and chairs, plus a pair of sun loungers are all provided. Mowbarton makes a perfect romantic spot to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, engagement - or any other excuse you can dream up! Mowbarton shepherd's hut is for a maximum of two people who want a secluded getaway.
