If you want a friendly, relaxed family atmosphere away from the busy crowds, yet near enough to the unique city of St Davids in Pembrokeshire, Wales, then Hendre Eynon Caravan and Camping Site is the perfect place for you. Unlike many other sites in the area, this family-run site lies in a busy working dairy farm centre, offering the chance for the whole family to relax and spread their wings. Immerse yourself in nature with the Dowrog Nature Reserve and Wales Coast Path close by. Or opt for staying on-site, whether it be flying a kite, a family game of cricket or a friendly football match with your neighbours, there is plenty to do. Everyone is greeted in person and shown to their pitch. You'll see the owners out on the field at all times of day and night, and they're always on hand to offer advice or simply to have a chat. With 50 years of experience, the site welcomes back families year after year, and it's this personal touch that is so evident. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead due to livestock.

Facilities include large family shower rooms, separate toilet block with plugs, a laundry room with washing machine and dryer and washing up facilities. There are water points around the site and a chemical waste disposal point. Fresh milk and eggs are available from the site office and there is a small field which that is available for dog owners to walk their dogs.

St Davids is just under 2 miles away and has a small supermarket, veg shop and butchers. Local cafes, pubs in St.Davids, Solva and Porthgain.

Site rules and policies

Hendre Eynon isn't all about rules but does ask that everyone respects each other and due to the family nature that noise is kept to a minimum after 10pm.

- Three night minimum stay over bank holiday weekends.

-Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead and under control at all times.

-We are not able to offer a refund if you choose to cut short your planned stay with us.

-All drivers should respect the site speed limit of 5mph

-Hendre Eynon is a working farm, and we ask all guests to keep away from farm animals and equipment at all times.

Things to do on site and in the St Davids area

On-site, there is plenty of space for cycling, kite flying and family games like rounders and cricket.

The site is 2 miles from St Davids with its magnificent cathedral and is within easy reach of the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coastal Path.

There are many boat trips now available from St Davids, which allow you the opportunity to experience the wonderful coastline and a fantastic array of wildlife, including seals, porpoises and puffins.

Locally there is plenty to do. For those interested in walking the coast path, the site is only a 15-minute walk away.

If birdwatching and wildlife is your interest, then there are plenty of areas ideal for seeing choughs and, if you are lucky, peregrine falcons. The Dowrog Nature Reserve is just a 10-minute walk away.

The coast offers ideal opportunities for coasteering, kayaking, surfing, paddleboarding too.

For the youngsters, there are plenty of rock pools at Whitesands and Abereiddy, and an evening crabbing in Solva or Porthclais is a must-do experience.
