About Farditch Farm Caravan Park
Ideally located on the edge of the Peak District, in the village of Chelmorton, the park is also just a short drive from the market town of Bakewell and spa town of Buxton.
Valuing quality over quantity, this small site is home to just 15 touring pitches. Each one is spacious and surrounded by stunning landscaping for the dual win of privacy and pretty colour.
There are four different pitch types to choose from, all of which sleep up to six people. There are just three non electric hardstanding pitches for small motorhomes only and three small electric hardstanding pitches for small campervans only.
Then there are nine fully serviced hardstanding pitches with electric, water hook up and drainage, suitable for a caravan, awning and a car. Finally, there are two large fully serviced hardstanding pitches with electric, water and drainage which allow larger motorhomes.
This friendly park is the perfect place to seek your own space and settle for a little while.
A maximum of three dogs are welcome per pitch, just please keep them on the lead unless in the enclosed exercise field.
Campfires are not permitted.
Farditch Farm Caravan Park is open from 01/01 to 07/01 and 09/02 to 31/12.
Facilities and amenities
The modern facilities building has well maintained showers and toilets, with accessible bathroom facilities and appliances such as hair dryers. There is also a lounge area and communal kitchen with washing machine, fridge and freezer. Bike storage available on request. Free WiFi is available.
Nearby amenities within 5 miles include restaurants, bars and shops. There is also a convenient bus service to the local town within walking distance.
Farditch Farm is a family run site and has been born from our farming roots.
Our farming involves traditional grass fed Pedigree Angus and our Texel cross sheep are reared in sync with the surrounding environment. We like to think the Caravan Park has the same ethos. It's a relaxed affair but has top notch facilities that we are really proud of.
The environment is important to us, as you would expect from our green beginnings, we have solar panels on our shed of which the surplus we store for use on site!
We may not be visible on site all the time or be there to welcome you as we have the stock to tend to but we are always monitoring it and contactable. We love that guests want to come and stay on our site to enjoy the area that we live and work in everyday.

Great location for exploring the Cotswolds. The site is small and well catered, one of the cleanest I've seen.

This review is specifically for the pitches on the corner next to the roads. Ours was number 9.
Plenty of room for 2 adults and one dog. But, I'm afraid that it was so noisy. Vehicles started at 3:00am with cars, then continued all day and evening. Tractors as expected and cars, but many large stone and gravel lorries also. Unfortunately, we left after 2 nights. If noise does bother you, it might be worth checking which pitch you are on first and if there is some big road works close by.
As everyone else has said, immaculate in all regards other than that.

Single Axle Caravan - Fully Serviced Hardstanding PitchesMar 2024
The site is located near a busy, main road and can be quite noisy from heavy traffic.
When we booked the site, we asked for a fully serviced pitch, which we paid for, but once we had paid our full balance a few days before we travelled. We were contacted by email & told we had been moved to the pitch next door, to accommodate another guest who was apparently staying longer. The email also stated that all pitches were close to the facilities, as it was only a small site. Not true!
The only pitches close to the facilities are no's 1 2 & 3, because unfortunately, due to the layout of the site, once you have managed to get to the out of the way side entrance, you then still have 3 doors & 2 rather long corridors to negotiate. There is a front entrance which would be slightly more accessible, however access is prohibited to the public & is for staff only. Having requested a pitch close to the facilities, we were less than thrilled to be moved, but would have been happier had we been moved to one of the 3 pitches which are slightly nearer the facilities. π
As it would appear that all the pitches on this site are fully serviced pitches, why inconvenience us at all?
Also, the chemical disposal point on this site, is less than adequate. Due to the lack of a hose pipe to flush out your cassette toilet, which you have had to use due to the 'out of the way' facilities. I felt that these are too far away in day light, let alone when it is pitch black.
Although we will not be visiting this site again, we did have a brilliant holiday in the Peak District and will definitely be visiting the area again.
