About the site


Enjoy being surrounded by glorious countryside, whilst still within easy reach of all of the essential means. Located just a stone's throw from the Peak District, this family friendly park is well placed for days of exploring with Chesterfield and Matlock For campervans, motorhomes and caravans, there are fully serviced pitches avaliable with grassed areas between for setting up your table and chairs. Measuring 6m x 6m, each pitch comes with pay as you go 16 amp electric (payable by app or onsite), a grey waste and a water hook up. If glamping is more your style, there are a range of cosy canvas tents on offer. Each of the 5m bell tents sleeps up to four with a king size bed, bedding and linen, plus two optional blowup beds. The Star tent also comes with the added bonus of transparent roof panels for star gazing at night, plus clip-on sun shades for during the day. Canine companions can join you for your stay too, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch. The site is in a 'smokeless area' so only smokeless fuels and fire logs are allowed.

Check-in is available from 3pm on your day of arrival. Check out is before 10:30am on your final day.

Bedding is provided but please make sure to bring your own towels with you!

BBQs are allowed but please make sure they are raised off the ground and that any fuel used is smokeless. Sorry, campfires are not allowed.

Dogs are allowed on the camping site but must be kept on a lead at all times and not left unattended. Please note, dogs are not allowed in the glamping accommodation.


Things to do on site and in the Clay Cross area

If you are searching for a fun-filled family day out, head to Matlock Farm Park (10 minutes). Meet wallabies, goats, ponies and more, with a range of fun activities too including alpaca trekking, go karts and horse riding.

For history buffs, the area is home to a whole host of historical landmarks. National Trust - Hardwick Hall is only 20 minutes away, with Bolsover Castle just a 25 minute drive away too.

Chatsworth House, one of the area's most popular attractions, is 25 minutes away. The property is famed for its amazing art collection, wonderful seasonal events and also being the setting for many huge TV shows and movies!
