About the site

This family-friendly park is set in the peaceful Yorkshire countryside, a five minute drive from the historic village of Haworth with charming pubs, the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway and the popular Brontë Parsonage Museum. Halifax, Bronte Waterfall and Ogden Water Country Park are all within a 15 minute drive too! There are spacious electric grass pitches and electric hardstanding pitches, all measuring 8m x 8m with a 12 amp electric hook up. These pitches are suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and motorhomes, with room for a gazebo or awning. For a simple camping alternative, the site has standard heated camping pods, including a larger pod for up to six. These unfurnished pods come with heating, lighting and electric, so guests just need to either hire mattresses or bring their own beds, along with bedding and cooking gear. Each pod has a wooden deck outside and shared facilities close by. For a touch of luxury, there are five Mega Pods. These sleep up to four and include a double bed (with sheet) and sofa bed, a kitchenette with a sink, fridge/freezer, microwave and kettle (bring own crockery), plus a TV and an ensuite toilet. Outside, there's a decked area to enjoy the fresh air. Shared showers are nearby, and these pods are pet free. The Super Pods are another great option, with ensuite bathrooms, a smart glass front and ramp access. Inside, there's a double Murphy bed, bunk beds for children, seating, a TV, fridge, microwave and kettle. Each also has an outside deck with furniture. Just be sure to bring bedding and a cooking stove. At the heart of the park is the clubhouse, home to a restaurant and bar, free WiFi, pool tables and regular weekend entertainment. There's also an arcade, indoor soft play and an outdoor playground for children. For something a little more relaxing, the Healing Lodge offers calming treatments such as massages and Reiki. Dogs are welcome across the site, with up to two dogs allowed per pitch or dog-friendly pod. Open fires and generators are not permitted, but BBQs are welcome as long as they are raised off the ground to protect the grass and decking. The site is also home to a range of residential park homes and static holiday caravans.

Upwood Holiday Park is open from 02/03 to 31/12. Pitches from £24/night for 2 people.

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2026

Great site for visiting Haworth, albeit up a hill outside the town. Peaceful location. Great for families - lovely play area. Very clean facilities. Good flat pitches. Quite a few permanent caravans on site. Didn’t use the onsite social hub but assume it would be popular.

Great site, ticked all the boxes for us as a family

VW-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2026

I came across this site by chance while looking for an overnight stay in my camper with my young son and our two small dogs and I'm so glad I did. Booking was simple and reasonably priced. On arrival, we had to leave the vehicle outside the campsite and walk a couple of minutes to reception but we were greeted with a friendly, welcoming face and excellent service. The directions to our pitch were clear and we were set up in no time. As it was the Easter holidays, there were lots of children around which was perfect as my son quickly made friends and had an amazing time. The site has a great outdoor play area and the reception area includes a bar with plenty of seating and regular entertainment especially on weekends but as it was the Easter holidays there was a karaoke and the kids all had a go which was lovely. There's also a small beer garden where I managed to grab a sunny spot. One of the highlights was the indoor area which includes soft play, arcade games, a pool table and seating for food and drinks. The menu had a great selection and I was really pleased to find a couple of vegan options. The food was lovely and well presented. Dogs allowed in bar area but not in children's games room which is totally understandable. We were sad to be leaving the next morning and I mentioned at reception that I wished we could stay another night, although I'd seen it was fully booked. A few minutes later, the lovely lady at reception told us she could rearrange things so we could stay. My son's face said it all! That extra night made our trip even more special. Although the weather wasn't as kind on the second day, there was still plenty to keep my son entertained and I got to relax and enjoy a couple of drinks. The atmosphere on site was fantastic, very friendly, with a mix of regulars and visitors enjoying the facilities and entertainment. The amenities were spotless, with clean showers and toilets (with music playing which was a nice touch), indoor and outdoor washing-up areas and even a washing machine, dryer, microwave and air fryer. The outdoor dog wash was also a brilliant addition, especially with our British weather! The pods and super pods looked fantastic and are definitely something I'd consider for a future stay. The views were beautiful and although we didn't explore off-site, it's clear there are plenty of walks nearby. Overall, we had a wonderful time and will definitely be back for another relaxing break. A huge thank you to the amazing staff who made our stay so memorable 😃

A note from the site themselves...

Owning Upwood Holiday Park for over 25 years has been one of the greatest joys of my life. When we first found this place, it was the breathtaking views that captured our hearts. Every sunrise and sunset still reminds us just how special this part of the world is.

But what truly makes it worthwhile is seeing families and couples creating their own memories here. Watching guests relax, laugh, and enjoy their time together is incredibly rewarding. Upwood isn't just a park to us, it's a place where people come to feel at home, surrounded by nature, comfort, and good company.
