Medium Tent - Electric Grass PitchesJun 2026

We have just got back from our 5 night stay where we camped on the EHU. What a beautiful campsite with everything you need. On arrival, we were given a schedule of the opening times for all amenities on site and a map. We arrived on a Thursday and it was lovely and quiet, so gave us chance to settle on before the weekend rush. The toilet/shower blocks were fab, plenty of toilets and showers and even enclosed separate sink areas which was great for a wash and brushing teeth. They also had a family room with a shower, sink, toilet and baby changing station which is really helpful, especially when having to take the kids to the toilet together. The toilet/shower blocks were cleaned first thing in the morning and the team got them all beautifully clean and were friendly. On the weekend though, they got pretty grim, with sanitary products being left on floors and tissue everywhere. I can only assume campers were flushing things other than tissue down the toilet, as a few occasions they were blocked and backing up. I must stress this is nothing against the campsite though, just clearly campers who have little to zero respect. May be an idea to have two cleans on a weekend. The park was amazing for the kiddies and they loved spending time on there. There was a family who's kids had electric bikes and were whizzing about the park at quicker speeds than a standard bike and nearly took my 2 year old about on a few occasions. We only used the swimming pool once, but on the one time we went it was lovely and clean and plenty of locker space and changing facilities. They have a little on site arcade which the kids enjoyed.. be sure to take change for this as cash only. The onsite shop had everything you needed from camping equipment, food, swimming, toys, sweets and ice creams etc and all very reasonably priced. We only visited the bar once, we played a couple of games of pool and put some music on the jukebox which the kids enjoyed. I will say though and this is the only thing that put me off regarding the site, there were so many flies, so much so even the bar staff had a fly swatter. I took my little girl to the toilet and there were about 30 flies in the toilet, on the toilet and all over the walls. I do understand that being coastal and with the up and down weather we have had this makes a perfect breeding ground, but maybe even a wall mounted electric fly zapper would help somewhat. Another customer mentioned it to the bar member and they were told that management wouldn't pay money for it, which I think is a shame. In all though, we absolutely loved our little family get away, which was our youngest first camping experience. We have already talked about coming back again next year. Thank you Crows Nest and we will, fingers crossed, be back next year.

Great campsite, would recommend it to all

Large A-class or Tag Axle Motorhome - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Lower Area)Jun 2026

We had a very pleasant six days. The bonus was the weather. The wife loved the pool which was good, it gave me an hour of peace and quiet 😆 The campsite was well looked after by friendly staff. Just one minor question, would have been better to have a toilet brush and a mop for the shower after use. Sorry, one more suggestion, a bin near the football field so the little angels could use that instead of dropping their rubbish everywhere.

Lack of services

VW-Type Campervan - All Weather Touring Super Pitches (Upper Area)Jun 2026

The site was clean and well kept. The pool was clean but unsupervised. The onsite bar is only open Friday, Saturday and Monday evenings, no dogs are allowed in. The fish shop opens for 4 hours per day Friday and Saturday, and the butty stand only opens 2 hours on Sunday. The shop only opens 2 hours per day through week although you can ask the reception to open for you if desperate. This is poor organization, we were in a campervan with small children and too far to walk for any entertainment or food. Overall, I would not book again due to a lack of amenities. there were plenty of campers in the same situation. The bar at least needs to be open through the week if you are taking people's money to camp or do not advertise for campers! Booked for 2 nights only managed 1 and packed up and moved on!
