VW-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesMay 2025
We really enjoyed our stay at Keld Knowle and can't fault it.
We were met on arrival and given a choice of pitches. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The toilet/shower facilities are exceptional. We enjoyed watching the cows being milked and the visit from the vet.
We walked into Pickering one day and across the fields/woods to have a lovely meal at the New Inn, Cropton, the next. There are some handy, laminated walk sheets for you to take and return, each one starting from the centre of Wrelton.
The pub in Wrelton was closed the week we visited unfortunately, but we found the Middleton Arms 1.5 miles away was very welcoming and the food looked good.
All in all, we had a successful, enjoyable stay and Keld Knowle and we will definitely visit again. Hopefully when the pizzas are available, as we heard they're excellent.
Fantastic place to stay and would highly recommend

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Hardstanding PitchesApr 2025
We specifically picked this site as it is small but has the basic amenities we wanted.
Owner met us when we arrived and was incredibly friendly and helpful. Each pitch was really well set up with access to electric hook-up and water. Toilets and showers were spotless and we loved the addition of the plants in these areas. Great spot to access walking tracks and mountain biking routes. The pub in the local village was also lovely and worth a visit.
On our second day there, the farmer put some hay bales into the middle of the grass area for the newly arrived families (with children) to play on, which we thought was lovely. The children played on them for hours.
Peaceful super site
