About the site
This family park is located in a scenic woodland, set alongside the Cromford Canal. In the heart of Derbyshire, the site is within easy reach of the M1, with the towns of Alfreton and Ripley within five minutes, and the Peak District National Park only 25 minutes away. For tents and trailer tents, there are grass pitches, some with 16 amp electric hook ups. Parking is located on a hardstanding area next to the grass pitches, meaning little ones can enjoy a safe car-free camping area. If you are sensitive to road noise, the team recommend asking to book in the top wood tent area. There are hardstanding pitches for campervans, motorhomes, roof tents and caravans. Choose from 16 amp electric pitches, or fully serviced pitches in the woodland, each with a 16 amp electric, grey water and water hook up. Do note, rock pegs will be required for awnings. Tucked away in a secluded area, there are cosy barrel camping pods with countryside views. Sleeping up to four, the pods include fixed beds and mattresses, but you will need to bring along your own bedding. Electric, a heater, a table and box stool chairs are also included. Ideal for families, there are three play parks with a seating area for parents to relax and unwind. There is an indoor play area for under fives, a pool table room, a sandpit and a seasonal disco room and land train that tours around the site! The site is home to a further range of camping pods, a rally field and seasonal pitches. Dogs are welcome, with up to four dogs allowed per pitch. Do note, the pods are pet free. In the evening, you can cook up a BBQ, just please ensure it uses charcoal and is raised off the ground. Open fires are not permitted.
