About the site
This is an eight acre rustic and charming campsite with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in a fantastic location. Snuggled in beautiful North Devon countryside, the site is only a few minutes drive from the sea for those who want to surf or explore the wonderful local beaches. It offers a back to nature style of camping and glamping. The micro campsite has just six large pitches, with fire pits available to hire to enjoy your very own campfire. Crafted by local carpenters, the shepherd's huts are both unique and quirky, with bespoke handcrafted beds, covered seating areas and wood burners to keep you toasty. The shepherd's huts give you all the joys of camping with the added luxuries of a comfy bed with duvet and a wood burner. All the huts have their own hot showers and wee shack, roll down canvas awnings, hammocks, solar lights, USB sockets and campfire tripod with grill and frying pans, and cooking utensils. A great hideaway for couples or a peaceful hidden retreat for solo travellers. Bring a good book and truly switch off and relax. There's even a wood-burner to keep you warm inside and a fire pit to cook outside. This is a safe space for solo travellers, a romantic relaxing quiet place for couples and a family friendly fun area for children to play. Sit back and relax in your hammock in your own private space, read a book while the children enjoy playing in the wonderful space around you. There are no cars allowed on site and the area is fenced to keep everyone safe. If you are looking for a quiet back-to-nature style campsite in a beautiful setting, close to the sea and enjoy sitting around a campfire toasting marshmallows, Strawfields could be just the place for you! Sorry no dogs allowed on the campsite or in the huts to protect the natural wildlife and animals on site.
