About Hoe Grange Holidays
Hoe Grange is set on the southern border of the White Peak area of national park. This family run, award winning accommodation has many eco friendly features including wind and solar power and works in harmony with the environment. Set on a working farm, there are walks and cycling routes from your door to Ashbourne, Bakewell and Buxton. It's only 20 minutes to Chatsworth House. Guests can meet the farm animals, collect eggs and watch wildlife go by from their glamping spots. The pods are fully self contained with a two ring induction hob, microwave grill, fridge, sink and all pots and pans supplied. The heating is provided by hi-tech infra-red heating panels for all year round comfort. The sofa changes into a king size bed and there is an outdoor dining area with fire pit and swinging seat. The gypsy caravan has authentic outdoor cooking on a fire pit and is set in its own little area with views down the valley, the perfect romantic getaway for two. There is a fridge, microwave, kettle and toaster in the farmyard shop for caravan guests to use, too. Dogs are welcome to join you on your stay in the Swallow pod and the Skylark pod, sorry no dogs in the gypsy caravan. All bedding and towels are supplied ready for you to relax. All glamping units are adult only.
The pods are open all year while the gypsy caravan is open from April.
Site facilities include heated showers and toilets just a short step from the gypsy caravan. Facilities inside the glamping pods are self contained and en-suite. The site includes a sauna and hot tub (available for an extra fee). There is also a small shop selling a few basics. An electric car charger and WiFi are both available.

Rose Hip the Gypsy Caravan

A traditional Romany caravan with over 100 years of history, sleeping two adults in a pull out double bed. Inside you'll also find bench seats and storage space, plus lighting and electric. Outside seating and a handy fire pit for cooking. Sorry, no pets.

The caravan was lovely, despite the downpour of rain all night long, it was well worth the money and travel! It has gorgeous views out onto the fields and rolling hills. Fire logs are all provided, we were given some lovely bread and butter and homemade cookies. The owners were lovely and had plenty of friendly pets who enjoyed coming to stay at the gypsy caravan with us! I can't think of any complaints other than signal / Wi-Fi isn't accessible but that's not the owners fault really. I'd highly recommend this little getaway.

Things to do on site and in the Matlock area
This is a fantastic area for walking, cycling and sight seeing with many top quality visitor attractions within a few miles drive of Hoe Grange, including Dovedale, Chatsworth house, Alton Towers, Heights of Abraham Haddon hall and many more.
The High Peak trail runs right along side the farm for easy cycling and walking and you can also bring along your own horse to ride the Pennine National Bridleway.
Hoe Grange has two mountain bikes for you to borrow and a secure cycle shelter to store your own bikes in. Be sure to get out there and start exploring, as the area has great places for climbing, fishing, mountain biking, or just relaxing and taking in the stunning views.
