Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

The site was lovely. Really nice views of the sea and saw lots of seals on our morning walk with the dogs.

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

Perfect location, just north of Filey and south of Scarborough. There were plenty of toilets/showers so no queuing. They were always clean. Really enjoyed the band playing in the pub. The fish and chips were great. The only criticism I would have would be the shop was not very well stocked but it is only a quick drive to Tesco. Would deffo stay here again.

Surprisingly quiet!

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesAug 2025

We camped in a non-electric pitch at the top of the site. Arrived around 2pm on Friday of bank holiday weekend and managed to get a pitch overlooking the sea (be warned though this is also furthest from the toilets). Fabulous views across to Scarborough, and cd walk straight onto the cliff path to Filey or Cayton Bay. The site was pretty full but also pretty quiet by around 11 at night which I was pleasantly surprised by. We only had contact with the receptionist on arrival who was very pleasant and helpful in directing us through the site. Shop is well-stocked and ok for price. We didn't use the pool or restaurant so can't comment. The toilets could have done with more regular cleaning but I appreciate on a packed weekend this might not be easy. Would I go back? Personally, I prefer somewhere smaller and less busy and would sacrifice bar/restaurant/pool for a calmer vibe. But for groups with a mix of ages/needs this would be a great place for a meet-up and the location between Scarborough and Filey is perfect.

Things to do on site and in the Filey area

Filey is a traditional Victorian English seaside town with a friendly atmosphere. A perfect place for those who want an active holiday, or for those who just prefer to relax with the restful background of fishermen mending their nets.

The five mile stretch of award winning sandy beach is protected by the rocky grandeur of Filey Brigg, a haven for a variety of birds and wildlife.

All generations of families can enjoy the nature trail along the Brigg as they explore the many rock pools in search of sea creatures. Surfing, fishing, yachting, golf, walking and bird watching are just a few of the activities which are here to be enjoyed.

To complement the town's natural heritage, there are many award winning gardens to stroll through and while away your time, especially along the elegant Crescent.

The colourful history of Filey can be viewed by paying a visit to the local museum. Delve into the past and experience recreations of rural life, covering all aspects of Filey's past and present.

Scarborough was Britain's first seaside resort, has been welcoming visitors for over 360 years and is still as popular as ever.

The safe, sandy, accredited beaches of the North and South Bays are broken by a rocky headland on which stands a reminder of the past - Scarborough's medieval castle.

The resort offers first class attractions such as the award winning Sea Life Centre, Scarborough Castle, Playdale Farm Park, Scarborough Open Air Theatre, Rotunda Museum and Scarborough Art Gallery. There are also several festivals throughout the year, including Seafest, Jazz, Bike Week, Scarborough Fayre and the Cricket Festival.

By night, you will be spoilt for choice with four fantastic theatres, each offering something different. One of the most famous is the Stephen Joseph Theatre, home of playwright Sir Alan Ayckbourn.

Music lovers can visit the Spa complex, home of the only remaining seaside orchestra, or Peasholm Park, which offers open air concerts and a variety of family entertainments.
