Welcoming caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents, guests can relax in the tranquillity amongst seven acres of landscaped private grounds. For those seeking more comfort, there are self-contained glamping cabins and a converted horse box. Onsite games room and adventure playground, plus easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Whitby.

About the site

Located in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside, this park provides a tranquil escape for all. It's in a prime location, just off the York A1237 outer ring road. You're just a 20 minute walk from the pretty local village of Askham Bryan and a 15 minute drive from the city of York. Once a plant nursery, the park is home to several lovely trees that have matured, creating a stunning and peaceful place for your holiday. Welcoming RVs, caravans, motorhomes, campervans and trailer tents, the site offers a selection of standard and fully serviced hardstanding pitches. These are located in an open field with some privacy and shelter. The fully serviced, super-hardstanding pitches measure 10m wide and feature electric, drainage, and water. Two luxurious Studio Pod Cabins are also available onsite, providing all you need for a comfortable stay. The fully self-contained accommodations include a pull-down double bed, a single bed, a bunk bed with a removable ladder, an ensuite bathroom, an equipped kitchenette with a hob, and a TV. Outside, there is your own private decking with outdoor seating and a BBQ stand available for hire There is also a heated converted horsebox that sleeps up to two with a double bed over the cab, accessed by a ladder. Inside, there is a sofa, a dining table, a fully equipped kitchenette with a four ring hob, a fridge and a microwave. Outside is a decked area with seating. Bedding and tea towels are provided. You'll also receive a complimentary welcome basket on arrival, including tea, coffee, milk and hot chocolate. Up to two dogs are permitted per pitch, but sorry, no dogs in any of the glamping units.

Guests have access to a heated facilities block with toilets and showers, as well as a laundry room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer, an iron, and an ironing board. It is recommended to bring a torch to reach the facilities at night.

There is also a goal wall, a small playground for little ones, and a games room with ping pong, pool, air hockey, a football table, and a vending machine.

A small shop can be located at reception selling essentials, and the site can freeze ice packs on request.

The local village of Askham Bryan is a 20 minute stroll away, where you'll find the family friendly Nags Head Inn and a range of shops.

Our site is family run, part of a former plant nursery which specialised in growing English indigenous trees. Some of the trees have been left to mature and now surround the holiday park, giving a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere while providing a perfect home for some of Yorkshire's native wildlife. Lovely setting, got dates mixed up and arrived 1 day early still allowed us to stay. Very nice people. Would have given 5* but for water pressure but all very clean and warm shower block, definitely go back, thank you.

Near York, we got an Uber in, around £10. Nice site, all appeared to be hard standing. Well maintained. Nice games room and little shop. Play park for children. Facilities were fine and clean. I would recommend and I will return.

Guests are welcome to check-in between 1pm and 6pm for touring and from 3pm until 6pm for glamping at Nurseries Caravan Park. Please advise the site if you are delayed. Check out is before noon on the last day of touring or by 10am for glamping.
Yes, four-legged friends are more than welcome to join you on your stay at Nurseries Caravan Park with up to two allowed per pitch. Please note dogs must be kept on a lead at all times and are not allowed in the glamping accommodation. There is a designated exercise area for dogs and plenty of walking routes nearby.
