About Riverside Caravan Park
Situated on the banks of the River Wenning, this family friendly touring site is ideal for those looking for a peaceful stay in the Yorkshire countryside. Within a 15 minute walk of the town of Bentham, you will be in easy reach of pubs and shops so you won't even need to use the car during your stay! Caravans, motorhomes and folding campers are welcome on all of the site's pitches. Pick between one of the 34 grass pitches and 15 hardstanding pitches, each with an electric hook up and TV point. There are also 12 fully serviced hardstanding pitches available, each with an electric, grey waste and water hook up. You will also have an adjacent gravel space, perfect for pitching up your awning or setting up your table and chairs for al fresco dining. The site is also great for keen fishermen, with a fully stocked fishing lake, and permits available for you to fish on the river, there is no better way to spend an easy-going afternoon. Fires are not allowed. Dogs are welcome, there is also a small exercise field available.
Riverside Caravan Park is open on the following dates for 2024: 01/01 to 01/01, 14/02 to 15/12 and 27/12 to 31/12.
Site facilities include toilets, showers, a disabled shower room, a family bathroom, a utility room, a laundrette, a play area, a games room and an information room and library. WiFi is available across the site.
Guests can fish in the onsite fishing lake and the River Wenning which runs beside the site. Golf is available at Bentham Golf Club, less than a five minute drive away. The nearest shop and pub to the site are Co-op Food and Hoggs N Heifers in High Bentham, both a 15 minute walk away.

Beautiful caravan park. Site was really well maintained and clean. Pitch was spacious. Reception staff were friendly and really helpful in terms of sharing information about places to visit and eat. The lake area is really peaceful and scenic and the showers were some of the best we have seen. Lovely hot water and very clean. Would not hesitate to return in the future.

Lovely park, clean and well maintained. The play park had plenty to keep my 6 year old and 4 year old entertained. There are lovely riverside walks around the campsite, perfect for dog walks. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We stayed on a fully serviced pitch, it was all that was left for our dates. Plenty space for the caravan, awning and our dog run set up as well. The park is quiet in the evenings and mornings. The onsite shop has some toys for the little ones - little fishing nets, which were great down the river, bucket and spade for the sand pit in the park and other basic essentials. It doesn't sell bread milk etc but the coop is a 5 minute drive away. There's a lovely large field at the top of the park for the woofers to get off lead for a run around. There is a machine to clean out your chemical toilet at £2 a clean, but there is also the usual set up free of charge just next to it, we joined as we were leaving. The showers are on a 5 minute timer but nice and hot and plenty long enough it turns out. Can't wait to go back to this gem of a park.

Spotless grounds and spotless showers and toilets, staff brilliant. I could not find a fault and I will definitely be returning. Absolutely best site I have ever been on, totally brilliant even though it rained. Can't wait to go back but for a lot longer next time.

Things to do on site and in the Bentham area
Less than a five minute drive away you will find Bentham Golf Club where you will be able to get an exclusive discount. Enjoy a game on the 18 hole golf course, or spend and hour or two at the driving range perfecting your swing.
Fishermen will also be spoilt for choice. The site has a well-stocked lake with carp, rudd, roach and perch, along with direct access to the banks of the River Wenning where you can purchase a permit to fish.
Surrounded by national parks, this is also an ideal destination for keen walkers. A 15 minute drive will take you to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, offering unspoilt landscapes and plenty of charming pubs for a stop off.
A 20 minute drive will take you to the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a great spot for bird watching and cycling.
