About Five Wyches Farm Certificated Site
Five Wyches Farm campsite is right on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, making it the ideal base for exploring the area yet within easy walking distance of the town of Bovey Tracey and only eight miles from the coast. A sheltered field surrounded by trees provides space for tents and touring caravans, with great views of the countryside and three electric hook ups. For glampers there is a charming shepherd's hut with modern day comforts. It's fully insulated and stays nice and cosy, with a large double bed (all linen supplied), lighting and electricity. Those seeking something more rustic will find two Romany style wagons with a double bed in each, as well as two bell tents - each with a double bed and two singles. Visitors enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of being able to sit round a fire in the evenings, cooking out of doors and the lovely small site atmosphere, which is never too busy or overcrowded. The campsite is dog friendly and the surrounding area is great for dog walks.
Camping opening dates are weather dependant, being a grass site, but generally from April to October and the shepherd's hut is available all year.
Facilities include hot showers and long drop eco toilets. Drinking water and waste water drainage are available, and firepits are supplied.
There are shops nearby within a mile and a pub in Bovey Tracey.

Site rules and policies
The campsite is run through Freedom Camping.
* We ask that tents/caravans pitch a resonable distance apart, for safety reasons.
* This is a dog friendly site, therefore we expect owners to pick up after their dogs, and not to leave them unattended.
There are often sheep in the next field so dogs must be under control.
* To respect other campers and be noise considerate, no loud music after 10 pm
* Recycle all waste in bins provided
* No generators
Things to do on site and in the Bovey Tracey area
Just opposite the site is Parke, the HQ for Dartmoor National Park which is a great hub for all that's going on. Head to the national park for lovely walks along the river and the old railway line which is now a cycle and walkway.
In Bovey Tracey, which is within walking distance, there are some excellent restaurants to try and a very popular new Whisky distillery in the old town hall. It'd be shame not to visit for a tour and tasting session of the locally made whisky. Nearby you'll find a fantastic outdoor heated swimming pool which is hours of fun, regardless of the weather.
Dartmoor is a famous riding destination, so why not have a go at a trip on horseback to see the beauty of this atmospheric place? There are professional tours and bridleways in place.
The sea is only eight miles away, so a lovely day can be spent taking in the beach and pier at the seaside town of Teignmouth.
