About Walnut Tree Farm
Walnut Tree Farm is a peaceful, rural and secluded campsite, yet convenient for the Chew Valley lakes, the Mendips, Bath, Bristol and Wells. Pitches for tents are large and set within a fenced field. Pitches don't include electric. In addition to tent camping, the site offers two cosy shepherd's huts and a bunk house for hire. The shepherd's huts enjoy a lovely field setting and they sleep two, with double bed, wood burning stove and gas hob. Both are ideal for couples, with attractive views and a compost toilet supplied for each hut. The bunk house is adult only. It has 2 self contained bedrooms with 4ft wide bunk beds. It offers kitchen facilities with fridge, oven and washing machine, as well as a living area with sofa and tables, and adjoining bathroom with shower.
Camping is available from the start of April until the start of October. The shepherd's huts are open from March to early January and the bunkhouse is open all year round.
Facilities include showers and environmentally green compost toilets.
A 30 minute gentle walk takes you to the local pub roughly a mile away.

I enjoyed my stay so much I'd happily stay here the rest of my life! The setting is idyllic; the shepherd's huts are beautiful and have everything you could possibly need, including a great selection of books; the cleaning products are all eco-friendly; and the owner is really welcoming and considerate.

Walnut Tree Farm is such a wonderful campsite that I'm reluctant to recommend it - I don't want it full of other people so there's no room for me! This idyllic site is tucked down a country lane with very little traffic, making it quiet & peaceful. The pitches are all well spaced out with plenty of room. Each one has a fire pit for toasting marshmallows. The toilets are spotless - the sweetest smelling compost toilets I've ever used! The showers are clean with lots of hot water. But the best thing by far about Walnut Tree is the owner. He is friendly and helpful; welcoming to everyone. This site was a little slice of paradise and we will definitely be back!
