Yorkshire Wolds Glamping offers a rural escape with easy access to a range of local activities. Stay in beautifully designed toasty glamping accommodation close to the beaches of the Yorkshire Coast and the edge of the wild Yorkshire Moors.

About Yorkshire Wolds Glamping

The site is based in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds village of Weaverthorpe, just a 15 minute drive from the coast. Being close to the Wolds Way route and the rolling hills make it popular for cyclists and walkers alike. It's a quiet and peaceful site, suited perfectly to those looking to explore the nearby countryside. With an acre and a half of land the site feels really spacious, and glampers have a sense of privacy from their neighbours. There are just four charming shipping container pods on offer, each sleeping two people, and three converted railway wagons, which sleep up to four. The site is dog friendly, and there are beaches where you can run your dogs happily at the coast.

Converted railway wagons are open all year round and pods are open from 1st March to 31st October.

* A strict 5 mph speed limit operates on site at all times. Care should be taken when leaving the site onto the lane and gaining access onto the main highway. Cars entering the site should park in the parking area near the entrance and should not drive around the site. If you have a lot of items to offload, you can drive to your Wagon/Pod and then park your car back in the parking area.

* Smoking is not permitted in the Wagons or Pods or on the decking areas, nor is it permitted in the covered dome or the main amenity block. Cigarette pots are provided around the site so please use these for cigarette butts.

* Dogs are only welcome onsite by prior arrangement and should be well behaved and under control at all times. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on site. No dogs other than service dogs are permitted inside any of the campsite amenity buildings.

* Dogs can be tethered to the posts on the decking areas but not to the spindles. Please do not tether your dogs to trees or bushes. Please do not leave dogs in your Wagon/Pod while you are away from the site.

* Radio /music etc must not be to the annoyance of the other campers. A good rule of thumb is, if it can be heard from the next Wagon/Pod then it is too loud.

* No parties are permitted on site.

* When using the communal areas including the amenity block, BBQ / fire pit area and the covered dome, please keep noise to a minimum especially so as not to disturb other campers and our neighbours

* Please think of others regarding noise at all times and keep noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00 pm and 9:00 am especially if returning to the campsite late evening, so as not to disturb your fellow campers and our neighbours.

* Campers should bring their own torches for use on site although low level lights on sensors are available outside each Wagon/Pod and outside the amenity block.

* Please respect other camper's privacy.

* External gas bottles for cooking purposes are only permitted on site at least 6 metres away from any building.

* Campers in the Wagons/Pods are requested not to use the front of their pods for a fire or BBQ. A communal BBQ and picnic area is provided for use by all campers on site.

* BBQ's are the responsibility of the camper; remember the coals and embers stay hot well after your food is cooked so please double check that they are completely extinguished after use, and should be disposed of in the metal bin with lid which is located in the bin/recycling area.

* Open fires of any kind (other than in the fire pits on site) are strictly forbidden as is the discharge of fireworks and Chinese lanterns on the campsite and surrounding areas.

* Naked flames, including candles are not permitted in the Wagons/Pods.

* General conduct: If in our opinion anyone staying onsite is considered to be of unreasonable behaviour, causing annoyance to other campers or our neighbours they will be asked to leave immediately.

Pet and landscape photography courses are offered on site, using the beautiful surroundings as inspiration so why not learn how to capture some stunning shots while you're visiting.

The site is close to fantastic locations such as the majestic Castle Howard, Wharram Percy deserted Medieval village and the vibrant colours of Wolds Way Lavender farm. You'll want to go tramping through the atmospheric Yorkshire Moors or ride the steam railway made famous in the Harry Potter films to get really in the spirit.

Not far off is Goathland where Heartbeat was filmed, so fans will want to visit the filming locations. Dalby Forest, well known for its superb mountain biking trails is just a short drive away from where you're staying. When you fancy a day in urban surrounds, the historic City of York with its stunning architecture is in easy reach and the best place to try some great restaurants. For nature enthusiasts, the RSPB site Bempton Cliffs is also nearby.

A public bridleway leads straight from the glamping site which is perfect for a stroll in the open countryside, the only people you'll meet will be friendly horse riders.

The beaches of Hunmanby Gap, Filey, Bridlington and Scarborough are all under a half hour journey away and there are miles of sandy beaches which have large stretches that are dog friendly. Whitby is less that an hour by car and you'll want to see what inspired Bram Stoker's successful tale - Whitby Abbey.

If you're a history fan there are some immensely grand houses and parks nearby including Castle Howard, Sewerby Hall and Sledmere House.
