About High Oaks Grange
At the highest point of the site's 60 acre estate, you'll find the one-of-a-kind glamping pods - exclusively designed for the site. Wake up to spectacular views across the Vale of Pickering, and marvel at how much you'll find inside. The pods have also been honoured with the Visit England Gold Award. Bluebell is a double pod which has a double bed and sleeps two. Cowslip and Primrose both sleep four, containing a kingsize bed and bunk beds. Inside, each pod contains a wet room with shower, a sofa, a smart TV, a kitchen area with microwave, fridge and hob, and a dining table for all the family. If you fancy a little alfresco dining, fire up the BBQ on your outside decking area and soak in the beautiful surroundings from the comfortable seating. All pods come with high speed WiFi, and all are dog friendly! Nestled next to the private woodland are four Scandinavian style wooden lodges. Accredited with a four star Visit England and Gold award, these are modern, open plan living areas wrapped up in idyllic countryside decor. Inside each lodge, the spacious living room, dining area and kitchen offer all the home comforts you need. Relax by the inviting fire, open a bottle from the wine cooler, and experience some pure, unadulterated bliss. Upstairs you will find a master bedroom with a king size bed, and a second bedroom with twin single beds. The whole family are covered with a Smart entertainment system. You'll find fast WiFi throughout, and the 40" LCD Smart TV in the living room comes with Google Chromecast. In the master bedroom, there is a wall-mounted TV and the twin bedroom has two TVs with a PS4! Outside you will find a private decked area with outdoor seating, a barbecue, and a covered hot tub. Heaven. Dogs welcome in some lodges.

Gorgeous lodge with so many high quality amenities. Loved the hot tub to stare at the stars and the birds during the day. Stayed in a few different accommodations here now, just got the pods to try. They look amazing for glamping! Overall, a great family friendly site with so many things nearby to explore.

Stayed here for 4 nights with our dog. Lovely location quiet and peaceful, beautiful scenery. Ample space to walk dog. Cannot comment on Pickering itself as did not venture into town, but went to Whitby, which was lovely, and did a hiking trail to a waterfall which was a great day out. Pod clean, tidy, cosy, ample appliances. Would highly recommend.

Things to do on site and in the Pickering area
The site is based in a fantastic location, set amongst the North York Moors National Park and nestled between Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale.
Its rural setting means there's a huge amount of scenic countryside to explore, making the site particularly popular with dog owners and those with adventurous spirits. You can wander or cycle the majestic woodlands of Dalby Forest, witness "England's finest view" at Sutton Bank, and discover the many picturesque trails and villages of the North York Moors.
If you're after some coastal scenery, exciting day trips to Whitby, Scarborough, and Robin Hood's Bay are just a short drive away. Visits to these popular seaside towns are always full of fun, fresh air and fish and chips!
Those who enjoy historical days out will appreciate many of the attractions in this area. The magnificent Castle Howard is a must-see house, with beautiful parkland, formal gardens and ornamental orchards. Even closer is Pickering Castle, a 13th century stronghold for medieval royalty.
Young families are also within close proximity of child-friendly attractions such as Flamingo Land, Alpamare Water Park and Go Ape in Dalby Forest.
