A note from the site themselves...
We are a family-run site with fantastic coastal views! We have been letting some areas return to nature for 20 years now, so there is plenty of wildlife for you to see. We also produce most of the electricity we use over the year.
Our site is quiet and secluded, we welcome couples and small families to our wonderful site.

Great stay with amazing views.
The walk to Robin Hood's Bay takes around 20 minutes and the Grosvenor Hotel menu gets a big recommendation.
Showers and toilets are functional and clean.
Site was pretty much silent after 10pm which was very welcome.
Will revisit.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchAug 2024
Small site. Well off the road. Some electric hook ups that seemed to be for motorhomes and vans etc.
Non electric pitches were large and had great views. Some closer to the cliff edge than others which were set back a little with a bit more protection from the winds. It was windy at the front but the payment for this was having great views! Offered the choice of pitches on arrival.
Relatively quiet site, even on August school holidays as pitches are quite far apart and large. Owner pretty much left people to it, but was happy to chat if bumping into him around the site. Toilets were clean, although with a 'rustic' charm. Showers were like wet rooms with toilet, sink and shower in each of the four (I think?) cubicles. It was great to actually have some space to move around in, unlike some other campsites I've stayed at. Plenty of hanging space in cubicles too. There were two sinks for washing up. These were sheltered and clean.
Had one day when there was a bit of a smell around the toilets from the septic tank, but otherwise it was fine. Great location for Whitby and Robin Hood's Bay.
