VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Pitches (Two Person)Apr 2026

Had a great weekend stay at Bank Top Camping. The site is lovely and quiet, nice big pitches. Fantastic walks straight off site. Clean facilities and plenty of hot water in the showers. The site is remote but only a 10 min drive to Pickering. We walked down to Levisham and got on the steam train to Gothland. Thoroughly recommend this. We'll definitely be back.

Lovely quiet site

VW-Type Campervan - Optional Electric Grass Touring PitchesApr 2026

What a lovely little site, perfect for my quick one night getaway. Keren greeted me at the gate and was very welcoming indeed. She even lent me some levelling ramps so I wasn’t sleeping on an angle! The location is pretty with some lovely countryside views around and when I popped down to use the facilities during the night, the stars were out and I got an absolutely amazing view of the night sky due to the remote location.

A note from the site themselves...

Our site is family owned and run by us, Keren and Iain, who have both enjoyed long careers in aviation and have almost 50 years of RAF service between them. With a desire to live in the peaceful countryside once 'retired' with our family and pets.

We fell in love with the views over the Vale of Pickering and have relished the challenges of renovating and managing this beautiful campsite since 2019. It is our home, and we strive to offer a calm, friendly and relaxed ambience. We work hard to keep the site as tidy as possible, and we welcome all who come to stay a while.

As the campsite has operated since the late '60s, we regularly welcome back campers who came as children and now return with their own grandchildren. Happily, they say that not much has changed!
