Occupying part of what used to be a WWII airfield, Holmsley Campsite offers an ideal location in the New Forest National Park. Within a 15 minute drive of Highcliffe Beach and just 25 minutes from Bournemouth, it is the perfect place for exploring. Campers in tents and tourers have a range of pitches to choose from, including grass, hardstanding and the option of electric. Be sure to also keep an eye out for visiting New Forest ponies!

Based on an old World War II Airfield, the site is steeped in fascinating history. Located on the edge of the New Forest National Park, you will also have the opportunity to spot ponies, deer and other wildlife onsite! There are a total of 424 pitches with both 9m x 9m non electric grass or hardstanding pitches available, along with XL 10.5m x 7.25 grass pitches. For those requiring a 16 amp electric hook up, pick between the 9m x 9m electric grass or hardstanding pitches. For those wanting to enjoy some shaded al fresco dining, there are also 14 select electric grass pitches. These come with your own picnic bench and umbrella, the perfect spot for a picnic or your morning coffee! All of the grass pitches welcome both tents and tourers, whilst the hardstanding pitches allow just caravans, campervans, RVs and motorhomes. Up to six people are permitted per pitch, with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy some peace and quiet. There are also pitches available for seasonal use. With its children's play park, the site is ideal for families of all ages - from those with young children looking for safe cycling routes to those looking for adventure with longer hikes and mountain biking. If you want to cook up a treat, you are welcome to bring along both charcoal and gas BBQs, just please ensure they are raised from the ground at all times. Disposable BBQs and fire pits are prohibited. Dogs are also welcome to join you for your stay, with up to three permitted per pitch.

For days by the sea, Highcliffe Beach is a 15 minute drive away offering a long pebbled stretch. Other nearby beaches include Hengistbury Head Beach (15 minutes) and Sandbanks Beach (35 minutes).
If you want a day out with the family, Bournemouth is within a 25 minute drive. Visit the famous Bournemouth Pier full of attractions, head to Oceanarium to see sea life or simply relax on the golden sandy beach.
