Eco, off-grid campsite in secluded meadows and woodlands with private picnic benches and fire pits
Set in a pretty natural environment, a great spot for simple family fun with a wildlife lake too!
Great spot for exploring beautiful Pembrokeshire, less than 30 minutes to the coastline and beaches
Set on an 18th Century working farmstead, turned into a wildlife conservation site, in the heart of Pembrokeshire, this site offers a peaceful and off-grid camping experience surrounded by nature. Just a five minute drive to Narberth and a 20 minute drive to a beach, there is plenty nearby to explore! There are 15 pitches on offer here, each surrounded by an abundance of flora and fauna. All pitches are secluded, non electric and have private picnic benches, fire pits and cooking grids. There are seven grass pitches for tents only, set in the meadow where long grass keeps pitches private, for even more seclusion there are four woodland pitches. For campervans, four pitches at the top of the site overlook the valley and Preseli Hills. The camping area is vehicle free to preserve wildlife and ensure everyone's safety, so children are free to run wild! Wheelbarrows are available to transport equipment from the car park which is located a couple of hundred yards away up a fairly steep grass slope from the meadow pitches. There are two sheltered communal areas for guests to use for activities and evening gatherings. One is a canopy hung over a bluebell hollow with a fire pit, and the other is an open barn that sits next to the brook and wildlife lake, perfect for some evening sun! The site is just a five minute drive from Narberth, known for its independent shops, restaurants and pubs. For a day of sandcastling and splashing in the sea, there is a great selection of beaches within a 20-30 minute drive. There are also many picturesque and historic small towns, castles and gardens to explore, and a host of fun-filled attractions for families nearby. The campsite is a part of the Greener Camping Club, this means that one guest per pitch must have a membership. This costs £12 per year and can be added on when booking and gives you access to over 160 eco campsites. This campsite does not allow dogs due to the surrounding farmland and wildlife, sorry. Each pitch has its own picnic bench, fire pit and cooking grid for campfires and BBQs.
Cilrath Wood Camping is open from 29/03 to 08/09.
