About the site

A peaceful site welcoming tents, caravans and motorhomes set amongst 22 hectares of oak woodlands and spacious green fields where guests can pitch up with the wild ponies roaming around the campsite. It is also just a 20 minute walk from Brockenhurst village and a 20 minute drive to the coast. There are 430 grass pitches without electric, measuring 9m x 9m, and you may pitch up anywhere you like too, whether that be under the trees or out in the open. The only rule is that you must pitch at least 6m away from other campers to keep pitches private. The site advises that rock pegs are a good idea when pitching due to the natural terrain. There are also pitches available for seasonal use. There is one bell tent suitable for two adults and two children with one double bed and two single sleeping mats. Equipped with LED lighting, a coal BBQ, a picnic bench and a cool box. Please bring your own bedding and cooking equipment. The site has picturesque views over the New Forest. Sit back and relax by your pitch as little ones make their own fun in the space around the tents, or have a splash in the nearby river to cool off on a hot summer day! Your four-legged friends will be kept happy, with a network of cycle paths and footpaths taking you into the forest, perfect for a family day out in the great outdoors! BBQs are allowed as long as they are specifically designed for cooking food. Sorry, no fire pits. BBQs must be raised from the ground and leave no damage on the forest floor. No disposable BBQs are permitted. Guests are asked to keep to the New Forest Code to help look after the area. Also, the site asks that you do not feed or approach any of the animals around the campsite, as they may bite or kick, and to keep all food sealed and out of reach of the ponies. Please note that the site is positioned close to the A337, so road noise can be heard on some pitches.

Motorhome - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

Having set up on Friday morning and then going out, I left a cone on my pitch which I checked with the wardens, as I was next to my son/daughter in law and grandchildren. I came back and someone had driven around my cone and set up their van. When I approached her all she said was oh sorry did not see it. How inconsiderate some people are.

Lovely stay as a group of friends

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

Really lovely location and great facilities and for such a good value for money. We were 5 adults in a big tepee tent and we had such a great time - especially with such an easy walk to Brockenhurst for any extra snacks that we might desire! Everyone on the campsite was polite and it was amazing seeing all the horses walking by in the morning.

Great site

Medium Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

Everything was great about this site except maybe the toilets were temperamental about flushing 🙈 Was a busy weekend on site and not many people took notice of the quiet after 10pm rule and cars were driving around site quite late at night, otherwise was lovely.
