It's a 25-30 minute walk from the Howard family's ancestral home itself with its tasty cafés and estate shops. A shop onsite offers a few essentials and some lovely treats, from fresh bread to a bottle of wine. The site is also perfect for waterside walks, strolls with Fido (who has his own exercise space) and cooking up a tasty BBQ at your pitch. Fire pits are permitted. The Crown and Cushion pub in Welburn is a lovely, hour long walk through the woods or a few minutes' drive away. And nearby Malton (a 10 minute drive) offers a great selection of restaurants with a wide variety of cuisines. Families and couples are welcome and there are grass pitches both with and without electric, plus a good number of hardstanding pitches with electric to suit tourers. Guests can relax, explore and enjoy time in the expansive estate grounds.
Grass pitches are available from March to October. Hardstanding pitches are available from March to the end of year. Pitches from £15/night for 2 people.
