The Hen's Dens at Orchard Organic Farm are orchard grass pitches and timber tent camping and glamping pods, carefully set within a quiet part of an orchard. Sleeping up to five and dog friendly, they're ideal for couples and families. Stay on an attractive, small farm site, set in Devon countryside and close to a lovely beach. Open year round and only 15 minutes from Torquay and its beach vibes.

About The Hen's Dens at Orchard Organic Farm
The Hen's Dens offers stunning camping and touring amongst an orchard, or the option of converted pod chicken sheds with cosy insulation and plenty of shelter from the elements. There are just six individually named grass pitches for tents and campervans only, each nestled away in its own private slot of the orchard on a slight slope. The maximum number of people per pitch is five and each pitch measures 3.6m x 7m and comes with 6 amp electric hook up. Inside the three pods is toasty heating, lighting and electric - with a picnic bench outside and space to make up a campfire. You can choose how you'd like to stay, either renting unfurnished and bringing your own beds, or booking a set of camping beds for your trip for an extra fee, so that things are nice and easy. Each den comes with the luxury of your own private lockable bathroom and kitchen area where you can safely keep bits and bobs. It has your shower, toilet and wash basin inside, along with an indoor sofa area. There's space for washing up and a small kitchen area with a fridge-freezer, microwave and kettle. Bringing a good sleeping bag is recommended to make sure you're comfy at any time of year. Extras such as beds and stoves can also be booked at an additional cost, and you can even book a farm tour! One well behaved dog is welcome to join you on your glamping adventure.
Camping and touring pitches are open from April until October. The dens are open all year.
On site facilities include three toilets and showers, a washing up area, a covered cooking area with microwave, toaster, kettle and a shared fridge. A shared washing machine is available with an honesty box. There are also picnic benches with parasols, a wetsuit rinsing barrel, a fire pit and a BBQ area.
All glamping units include private facilities - a lockable bathroom and kitchen area.
There is good 4G coverage on site.

A lovely campsite with friendly owners and good toilet and washing facilities. there was superb beach within walking distance and buses into to Torquay and Dawlish. only dissapointment was the local pub where we felt the owners wanted us out before the bingo started.

Things to do on site and in the Newton Abbot area
Try a real Devon pub in one of the local villages (and perhaps a glass of delicious ale or cider) or head to Paignton and Torquay for a great selection of cafes and restaurants. See a show at the Prince Theatre and then finish it off with a slap up meal.
Go Ape! in Haldon Forest (30 minutes) will have all your little monkeys getting active and then once they've blown off a little steam they can see games come to life at the House of Marbles.
Maidencombe Beach is a beautiful place with a pretty footpath and a tasty cafe for some post-sunshine refreshment, and is just an easy five minute drive away.
The Hen' Dens are really well located for a variety of activities such as walking, cycling, coasteering, climbing and watersports.
And a short car journey will get you to great places to visit like:
