Avon Tyrrell Activity Centre is located in the beautiful surroundings of the New Forest. You won't be short of fun here, and there are plenty of opportunities for a walk or ride to the nearest village for cream teas as well. You'll be spoiled for choice!

(Please mention

Avon Tyrrell is a special place for so many reasons and the grounds are beautiful, but the big draw here is the variety of on-site activities on offer. Our site is ideal for people looking for a fun-filled but relaxing family getaway in the New Forest.

We don't mark out our camping pitches, and there is plenty of space for you and your group to make yourselves at home in either the woodland glades or on the open field. Electrical hook ups are available on selective pitches if required, for campers and tourers. We also have some pre-pitched tents sleeping 5 or 6 people.

In addition to tents, caravans and campervans, we also have a selection of lodges nestled into the woodland landscape. Our lodges sleep from 6-14 people and come fully equipped for a comfortable stay.

Well behaved dogs are welcome during school holidays and weekends.

Come to Avon Tyrrell and have a family adventure that you'll never forget!

Camping is available from March to October, with lodges available all year round.

From the southbound M3 motorway, join the M27 just before you get to Southampton, following signs for the West and Bournemouth. The M27 eventually becomes the A31 dual carriageway. After approximately 15 miles, watch carefully and exit off the A31 left for Burley, then follow the signs into Burley for approximately 3 miles.

In the centre of the village you will find a triangular junction with a war memorial in the centre. Turn right here, signposted to Bransgore and Avon Tyrrell. After a couple of miles you will rise up a hill and come to a crossroads at Thorney Hill. Turn right here, signposted for Avon Tyrrell.

Go over the cattle grid and continue for 400 metres, until you reach a fork in the road and a white cottage on the right. Take the right fork which is our private drive. Please obey the speed limit and watch out for the speed ramps. Avon Tyrrell House is at the end of the drive.

Coming from the West, head for Ringwood via the A31 or A338. Continue east past Ringwood up the main A31 dual carriageway for approximately 1 mile. As you get to the top of a hill there is a turning off left signposted to Burley and services. Then follow the directions above.

If following sat nav, please use the postcode BH23 8ED as we have had customers getting very lost using our normal postcode. If your sat nav takes you through a private track off the Ringwood-Bransgore road, please turn back as there is no access through this way. It is a dead end and a private driveway. Please ensure that you enter the site via the Bransgore-Burley road.

We have extensive facilities to help make your visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. These include well equipped amenity blocks with free-to-use hot showers, brand new facilities at the Boat House, coin-operated laundry facilities, a communal fridge and freezer. a shop and vending machine with snacks and ice creams, and WiFi available in selected areas.
To complete the camping experience you can hire BBQs or the campfire area (subject to availability) and spend an evening down by the lake toasting marshmallows.
