About the site

This small, two-acre campsite is set just 20 minutes from the picturesque village of Solva. A ten minute walk will take you to the small cove of Porth-y-Rhaw, and the Pembrokeshire Coast Path can be reached within a ten minute drive. There are 20 level grass pitches (8m x 8m), each with a 10 amp electric hook up. These pitches are set on flat fields with clearly defined boundaries, and there's open space in the centre for children to play safely. For a more off-grid experience, The Paddock offers 10-15 non electric pitches with no fixed layout, giving you the freedom to pick your perfect spot overlooking St Brides Bay. It's also a short stroll from the main facilities and includes access to the site-wide WiFi. Sprinter-Type Campervan - Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

The site was bright and open with far reaching views to the sea. It is sloping but the pitches were mainly level and we didn't need the leveller's for our campervan. The facilities were clean and there is a chemical toilet point. The walk into Solva village was mostly downhill but then you have to walk back up to the site. I suppose you could get a bus or taxi but we didn't, phew! Solva however was lovely as we sat on the quayside and ate chips, drank coffee and watched the tide roll in, brilliant. You can also, from the site, walk to the old WW2 airfield which is a fairly level walk and is about a 10 to 15 minutes walk. Our dogs loved it as did my old legs. We would very much consider returning to the area in the future and using this site.

Site's response

Thank you for the review Peter, it was a pleasure to welcome you. It is nice to read you enjoyed your stay and managed to explore some of the local area. We will look forward to your next visit.

Large Tent - Non Electric Grass PitchesSep 2025

The campsite was absolutely wonderful, lovely view of sunset, facilities were well occupied and clean. Very easy access to drinking water and electricity outlets. The owner is a lovely lady, very friendly and accommodating. She helped us and provided us with a mallet and tape in order to fix some of our tent troubles! Easy walking distance to Solva and a 5 min drive to St David's. Will definitely be coming back again. Thank you, Emily and Marco
