About the site

A family friendly campsite with stunning countryside views over the Vale of Pickering. The rural location is great for those wanting scenic walking routes, with the Yorkshire Dales 15 minutes away and Scarborough within a 20 minute drive! The small site is home to only four tent camping pitches, each measuring 6m x 6m. The pitches allow up to six guests each, with two including a 6 amp electric hook up. If you want to leave the tent pegs at home, opt for a cosy shepherd's hut. Sleeping up to four, the huts come fully furnished with a double bed, pull out sofa bed and bedding. For cooking, there is an equipped kitchen with a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. To keep you warm, whatever the weather, there is a wood burning stove, plus a TV for entertainment. Shared campsite facilities are also only a short walk away. The site is set on a working farm, so remember to say hello to the onsite farm animals, including cows and chickens! Dogs are allowed onsite, but please keep them on the lead at all times due to the animals. Evenings can be spent enjoying a BBQ or fire pit, just please ensure these are raised from the ground.

Open from the 30th March through to the 16th September for grass pitches and 30th September for Shepherds hut.

A note from the site themselves...

We have worked very hard on enhancing our facilities to give guests the best stay possible. We are extremely pleased to be able to say that thanks to a LEADER Grant from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, we were able to have them updated.

We love sharing our site with familiar faces and new friends and hope we get the chance to greet you soon, Karen

Large Tent - Electric Grass PitchesAug 2023

A view to die for on a rather exposed, stony slope. Very difficult to peg the tent in (I guess the clue is in the name). Whilst the bathroom was well fitted, it was such a huge, wet room that having a shower felt uncomfortable, because every part of body not in the stream of water was instantly freezing! Would recommend the playground in nearby Ebberston.

Very happy
