About Castle Howard Lakeside Holiday Park
The park is in a beautiful rural location, bordering a lake and very close to the pretty village of Coneysthorpe, within the Howardian Hills AONB. It's a 20 minute walk from the Howard family's ancestral home itself with its tasty cafés and estate shops. It's also perfect for waterside walks, strolls with Fido (who has his own exercise space) and cooking up a tasty BBQ at your pitch. Fire pits are permitted. Families and groups are welcome and there are grass pitches both with and without electric, plus a good number of hardstanding pitches with electric to suit tourers. Guests can relax, explore and enjoy time in the expansive estate grounds.
Grass pitches are available from March to November. Hardstanding pitches are available from March to the end of year.
Site facilities include clean and centrally heated toilets and showers and a laundry room, with coin-operated hair dryers and a washing machine and tumble dryer. There's also a dedicated dog walking space.
There is café and farm shop a mile away from site too. Fishing in the unmanaged lake is permitted for a small daily charge.

We arrived late in the afternoon. The lady on reception could not have been more helpful. The site was clean and the facilities were second to none. We have two dogs and they were made to feel welcome. I cannot recommend this site enough. Now that we have found it we will be back.

lovely park on Lake. just 5 mins in motorhome to castle Howard. Easy to park there. Nice pitches and facilities block nice and clean and warm, showers lovely and hot. All in all a lovely stay.

Guests staying here receive a discount to visit Castle Howard where you can enjoy the main house, gardens and a fantastic adventure playground, Skelf Island..
The area has a great selection of footpaths and bridleways and is a perfect spot for keen walkers and cyclists. Being based in the Howardian Hills AONB, there is so much to see and do.
Bridleways, walking routes and incredible views in the North York Moors National Park are also sure to please.
For days out and fine meals you are an easy drive from York, Malton, Pickering and some seaside sunshine at Whitby, Scarborough and Filey.
With so much to see and do in the local area, you can make your holiday as quiet and relaxing, or as exciting and energetic as you choose.
