You can expect frequent visits from wild ponies, deer and a range of birdlife that you can watch from your pitch. There are 95 grass pitches welcoming caravans, motorhomes, trailer tents and tents. Guests can pitch up wherever they like giving campers plenty of choice and space! There are also pitches available for seasonal use. Just five minutes to Frittham and 20 minutes to Lyndhurst, this site is ideal for exploring the New Forest with lots of cycle paths from the site. The peace and quiet onsite attracts birds such as nuthatches and blue tits so you can enjoy your breakfast whilst listening to birdsong. Dogs are welcome onsite, just please keep them on a lead at all times. BBQs are allowed as long as they are raised from the ground, to avoid damage to the forest floor. The BBQs used must be specifically designed for cooking. Sorry, no disposable BBQs or fire pits. Also, guests are asked to follow the New Forest Code, this includes not petting or feeding the wild animals.

"Free-roaming ponies, cows and deer that also called the campsite home were the icing on the cake!"

VW-Type Campervan - Non Electric Grass PitchesJun 2025

The site was lovely and so spacious. The only thing I would say is that we knew the gate code would be changed at 11:00 (Sunday) today, but we arrived at 11:01am as we were stuck behind horses and other vans and cars leaving, and the codes were already changed. There was a queue of us waiting to get out. I appreciate we were cutting it fine, but I would expect the person to change the codes and remain there for at least 5-10 mins. We did call and the man returned, but was very grumpy and it took him approx 10mins to get to us, so there is no way he locked it at 11:00am as he said, as 11:03am, I spoke to him back at the other site. Anyway great site, location and staff (well, except this grumpy one). We will be back and make sure we are not 1 minute late 🤣
