Like pods, one of the big upsides of a bell tent is that it's pitched, ready and waiting for you to step inside.
The tents come in a range of sizes and several designs, easily big enough to fit a decent double or king size bed, with larger 5m and 6m tents very well suited to families with kids and groups of friends.
Options at the budget end are relatively simple affairs, offering the protection of a quality canvas and some sort of floor (often decking). You'll have plenty space to place your camp bed or sleeping bag, but will need to bring all the usual camping gear, except the tent.
As you move further up the scale, bell tents become havens of hand-picked furniture pieces - home to Egyptian cotton bedding, stylish crate tables, chests of drawers, chandeliers and vibrant bunting.
The top end have wood burning stoves and deep pile rugs provided - the kind your toes sink joyfully into - along with cosy rugs and solar powered fairy lights. Outside there's often a picnic table and fire pit BBQ.
And when you come to go, just leave everything standing and wave goodbye to a superb stay. Easy!
