About the site

This small and welcoming site offers tall trees in its surroundings, a working farm for its neighbour and lashings of countryside all around. Lots of great walking and cycling routes in the area, including some footpaths starting very close by. Pitch up on level gravel pitches with electric available. Car parking is available at each pitch and water is close by. Each hardstanding pitch is very well kept and provides open views down the field towards the River Dove. Well-behaved pets are welcome. BBQs are also allowed, provided they are raised off the grass. Fire pits are provided and you can pick up some logs on site to keep you warm of an evening. The site is a Freedom Camping Club CS and membership of the club for guests is free.

A note from the site themselves...

I am happy to be able to offer an affordable base for everyone to discover and access our beautiful part of North Yorkshire.

I enjoy being able to pass on tips about walks and places to visit in our local area, if there is anything you want to ask when you are here - that is if you haven't already got a full itinerary in mind for your holiday.

Hopefully, the pack provided on each pitch will be helpful for this, as I have tried to include useful information for the questions that I would want to ask if I were visiting a new area. I welcome any suggestions for any other topics that you feel may be useful to include to help you enjoy your stay here, Jayne

Sprinter-Type Campervan - Gravel Touring PitchesApr 2025

Nice site, convenient for Kirkbymoorside, easy 1 mile walk. Hutton-le-hole 10 minutes drive up the road. Nice spacious pitches with views over field. Some road noise during the day, but quiet at night. There is a pig farm over the road where we got the occasional smell and some noise from the pigs, but we still enjoyed it there.

Great little campsite for a quiet break, thoughtful owners with regards to the bags of logs and recycling options.
